People would be much more hyped for Tame Impala if Kevin wasn't such a tool for agreeing to go on tour with the new set up they made exclusively for Coachella and the same thing happend in the summer of 2018 after that Panorama show the year before.
has no one mentioned that when tame impala played in bonnaroo in 2016 they were schedule to do a 2 hour long late night set that was announced when the lineup came out and they played their default festival set that clocked in at about 80 minutes and didn't return to the stage? not that their live show isn't bad or that their music isn't awesome, but i thought it was known that they have a habit of phoning it in.
edit: y'all just started talking about it and dragon energy brought it up lol.

Exactly, and not to mention, they followed M83, who absolutely fucking burned it to the ground. Insane dance party and then Tame Impala came out and just went through the motions. Pretty over them after that performance.

i still hold that inforoo is wrong about this one, it's bonnaroo's fault.
being that 2016 was bonnaroo's first live nation year, i previously hadn't considered this position but it makes sense. tame's had a history for playing the same relative set since around this tour. i don't know what went on behind the scenes for tame impala's set to be advertised as being two hours from day one but it makes more sense that a miscommunication happened between tame impala and bonnaroo than tame impala saying fuck it and not playing their time since they did, in fact, play their set they'd been playing at festivals that year.
i'm a middling Tame Impala fan but i'm still excited to see them on the What.
They’re the quintessential “band I like that is also wildly overrated” on this forum. I have zero regrets about bailing on their Coachella set for Little Simz.

looks like LSDream confirmed the new leak from that Reddit user. with Lizzo and LSDream being confirmed by the leaker it makes me think the rest are also true with a 1/14 lineup drop

I did this at Panorama but for Motor City Drum Ensemble! They were decent, but I regret leaving Nicolas Jaar to try to get a decent spot for them

I know late night sets are coveted but Turkuaz Remain in Light show would do well early afternoon on Sunday where Princess was this year. Starting my Sunday by getting funky to excellent covers in a spacious tent with a large troupe of Inforooers really set the tone for the day and is one of my highlights of Roo 2019. I'd love to repeat it.

As someone who saw Tame twice last year - once at a more intimate venue and once at Lolla - they’re a good live act. Not something I’m super stoked about seeing over and over again.
I’ll probably catch a couple songs in the field, grab some food and set up for one of the LN acts.
Honestly the only bummer is Kevin and Co have enough material to fill 2 hour slots and vary the setlist from night to night but have chosen not to. However, that's a problem with lots of bands nowadays who use large visual productions, so it's kind of a mute point

we'll for sure do that again this year but I think Turkuaz would get the JRAD spot.

That wouldn't surprise me, though they also put Lettuce in an early tent on Sunday in 2016 so it's not unprecedented.

If the lineup is actually good, and there is a strong late night option or 2 per night, I'd really hope for a midday / late afternoon tent set for Turkuaz.
