So Biden at the Teamsters forum today: -Was late - Was spewing word salad, per usual. - said,"I may be Irish, but I'm not stupid." *He's half-Irish and full stupid - Sees a man looking at his watch and says "I must be boring the hell out of you." - Says, "union density has fell from 34% to 6% while I've been a public official." He meant it as a bad thing and those numbers are off but LMFAO Hell yeah, Working Class Joe!
- Said,"I come from the corporate state of America, Delaware!"

I swear. If we end up with Biden v. Trump, there's no way to argue that we're not the dumbest country on the fucking planet.

Booker followed him and was just miles above him. For a lot of reasons but it's just a striking difference based on simple cognitive ability.
This is a little tougher audience than the debates or what have you. Bernie should really just lay waste to Biden and the moderates on labor issues. He's got to start hitting Joe harder. He's really only done it on Iraq and, somewhat, on health care.
Judging by Hillary popping up to rehash 2016.... it would seem the do indeed love to lose.
Love the fucking hypocrites in the #resistance that will have no problem with this. Unity! Vote blue no matter who! I forgot the part where two millionaires are shitty on progressive ideas that would help many of the Democratic base All very wise.
It certainly won't be surprising if Bernie can't pull off the win. It will also not be surprising when hundreds of thousands of people sit out because Obama and Clinton started throwing their weight around. Fair or not, people will take it the worst way possible.
Why make the general harder? Mayor 24 Hour African Vacation(I swear I'm not CIA) won't win. Biden is just going to get worse and worse.
So the town of Killingly, CT recently changed the name of it's high school mascot from Redmen to Red Hawks - after students, community leaders, and leaders of the local Nipmuc tribe all worked to remove the racism.
Then in the elections last month, the Republicans had a clean sweep. Every major townwide office went GOP. The Board of Education, now featuring a member of a white nationalist group, is voting this week to change it back to Redmen. Because fuck decency.

My wife's school district was a Native American slur until the year before she started there. The school district that we live in (which has a heavy NA population) and another school district refused to compete against them in sports until they changed their name. It worked.
Hopefully the pressure stays on Killingly if they vote to march backwards.

Can you imagine getting being so upset about a high school not being racist? Lol it’s like they don’t see the hypocrisy of them complaining about people wanting to change it.
Also way to show the student government that their accomplishments mean nothing. Great way to encourage future generations

Anytime you are impeaching a president and have the chance to give him a bipartisan legislative win at the same time while in an election year, you just have to do it. What a bunch of idiots.

I don't know how accurate this is, but one of the biggest Republican complaint is that Democrats can't get anything done because they are only focusing on the impeachment. If they sign this, then that takes away that argument. Also, (and I could be wrong) from what I understand, this deal is almost exactly like the deal we already had in place with very minor changes.
Supreme Court refused to hear the ACLU's challenge to the Kentucky Ultrasound Bill and let the 6th Circuit ruling remain in place. This means that a woman wanting an abortion has to go through an unnecessary procedure designed to interfere with her personal medical and family decisions. As usual, the right-wing only wants the government out of your life when it makes for a good talking point.

I am starting to think that this t-shirt is correct:

Cot damn they've only released 2 qualifying polls since the last debate. Over here pulling my hair out hoping that the Monmouth poll being released tomorrow has Yang at 4%. Been 1 poll away since before the last debate.
I wish the number of unique donations was a more aggressive requirement than the polls to qualify for debates. Would love to learn how many more donations Yang has received than Amy Klobuchar or Tom Steyer. I know Tom Steyer just recently crossed the 200,000 threshold for the debate (by selling anti Trump merch basically), and that Yang has been over 300,000 for some time now.
I hate to sound conspiratorial and biased here, but I think there is a good chance that these polls are failing us miserably.
I don't like that they aim for likely voters. This inherently reduces the possibility of big change (Bernie or Yang). It's like a self fulfilling prophecy. Young people, people that haven't been active because they hate traditional candidates, etc... they all look at the polling of old people who are basically choosing the names they have heard of the most on TV that they kinnnddaa like or think could beat Trump. And of course that media they are consuming has consistently snubbed the shit out of Bernie and Yang. Those polls end up looking worse for those candidates than they should (my guess). Then the young non traditional voters lose hope and say things like, "I Like Yang but he doesn't stand a chance so whats the point?" And on and on we go.
Additionally, many of these polls start out by asking questions about how people feel about Biden, Warren, Pete, Bernie, BLOOMBERG... and they don't mention Yang throughout the poll until it's at the question where they just list all the names and ask who you would vote for if the election was today. Well if you get these old, out of the loop voters to individually think about how much they like some of the candidates before they choose their vote, they will assume those are the main candidates and will be thinking about them when its time to make that selection.
I wish the mountain for Yang to climb was "we need 100,000 new unique donations" rather than "we need to hit 4% in one more poll" because then I could instantly get 5-10 of my friends to donate that haven't yet. Whereas I don't feel like I can do anything to significantly help the poll numbers at this point.
Agreed. Some of them (including the content) were pretty decent.
Obviously Bloomberg is better than Trump, and I'd vote for him in the general if that was the candidate. But I don't find him particularly inspiring.
I don't like the fact that he thinks he can buy the election. He is one degree off of being Trump.
I don't either. And I have serious doubts he'd be able to get much done for us common folk anyway. I hate to be as judgmental as I'm about to be, but I'd put him down as a slightly more benevolent guy than Trump. And that's about as nice as I'm going to be.
Mike Bloomberg is just another one of the Republicans running to try to move the Democratic Party to the right in opposition to Bernie. Simple as that. Fuck him. He would essentially be identical to Trump on policy. Electing him would accomplish basically nothing.

Holy shit, this is especially big for Cali and NV That's on top of smaller prog endorsements in Iowa and NH. Plus, DSAforBernie bringing out 50-80 canvassers in a lot of major cities this weekend.
The leaders of Youth Climate Strike have endorsed and Sunrise is likely to.
This is a fucking army of hippies
*Pretty sure some of CPD southern affiliates will split w/ Warran. I know some New Georgia Project people are already on her campaign. That's good we need everyone down here knocking Biden down.
So what do we think will happen after Giuliani submits his report to Barr and the Repubs? Does it strengthen the impeachment or will Republicans just start using that as their defense of Trump?
I can't believe that they are going to allow this blatant power grab effort by Trump (I mean I can, but can't if that makes sense).

Yang qualified!
Tulsi said she won't do the debate even if she does qualify and none of the others are in striking distance. So it will just be the 7. Bernie, Warren, Biden, Pete, Steyer, Amy, Yang.
