Yeah, I don’t know if it’s pandemic oversaturation or it just being early in the year or both but there’s very few albums that have been sticking with me, and even more to my surprise, very few individual songs. I guess we’ll see!

Loshh put out a pretty strong Afro-jazz/funk last week. That and Weather Station have probably been my favorites so far this year, although I think Claud is worth a listen for folks here too.

Second the Claud rec. Definitely of a piece with stuff like Snail Mail, Soccer Mommy, etc. but a bit on the happier side

Don't sleep in Cassandra Jenkins' new album an Overview on Phenomenal Nature. I know P4K gave it best new music, but outside of that I haven't seen anyone talking about it, and it is beautiful. The stand out track for me is Hard Drive which gives me mad Laurie Anderson vibes.

Let's go on and get it done. Insomnia is great on New Release day. Really liked the Blanck Mass and A Winged Victory for the Sullen records, too.
