Keeping an eye on this. Bethel Woods is well worth the 2-hour drive- beautiful grounds. Oodles of land available for camping and parking, but not much hotel stock nearby.

This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

I'll believe it when I see it, I'd love a fest around there but we already have Peach and Elements nearby offering Jam and Electronic respectively. What kinda genre fest do you think we'd be getting?
Every couple years they try. And fail. They need to give it up. The people don’t want Woodstock. We want FYF
And unless they get desperate when it comes to their La fests they wont use the name again. The Primavera threat is mostly gone now for the time being.
Mountain Jam had presented a half-decent jam/Americana lineup for a 3-day fest in 2020. Didn’t happen, of course, but maybe someone dusted off those plans. As of last February, they intended to return in 2023. mountainjam.com/

It’s not Mountain Jam although I think some of the same crowd will be into it.

Food festival. Not a food fest with dishes and tons of eating. A food fest where the entire lineup is music about food or bands named after food.

A lot has changed since 1969, but Bethel Woods, in Bethel, New York, is still standing as a cultural center and nonprofit. The notable site of the original 1969 Woodstock Music & Art Fair, the Catskills attraction has served as a beloved music venue and event center for decades. And now, the summer destination just announced that they’ll be hosting a brand new two-day festival, Catbird Music Festival come August 19 2023.

How in the hell is a 2 day camping pass $325 while an actual 2 day ticket to the venue is 199. That means if a single person wanted to camp this fest it would be well over $550 minimum. Yikes

btw i just listened to Pink Floyd's "Brain Damage -> Eclipse" and followed that up with the first twenty seconds of COIN's "Talk Too Much", it's a great musical juxtaposition if you want to turn your mouth around backwards and eat your own brain.
