i need to rewatch Whiplash. i've been waiting like six years for my wife to watch it with me, might just have to go solo again. but i really think she'd love it.

I thought Whiplash was excellent when it came out, but comparing it to Tar, the side scenes with Miles Teller and the girl he's dating feel a little CW to me. Tar was so long and yet every scene felt like an important piece of the puzzle.

I only watched Whiplash the one time when it came out, I thought it was just alright tbh, never felt the desire to watch it again. Loved Tar though, I'd vote Tar for sure.
