I was wondering how many ppl here are plannning on trying to catch their set? I've never seen them b4 but they have become one of my favorite bands (and yes for any hardcore fans, i have heard and do like the older albums). I was also wondering if anyone had seen them b4 and could key us in on what to expect, b/c i've heard mixed reviews about their live shows. Thanx
I was curious about that also, I also have heard their older albums.......they just don't strike me as a great live band....I could be totally off base......I'm sure I'll get fried for that comment...So if anyone has seen them live, would love to hear from ya!
well i haven't seen them live nor have i heard their older albulms, but i was stoked to see them on the lineup b/c i really like their radio stuff......now ya'll got me all nervous and sh!t but im gonna go watch em regardless of what's said
I haven't seen 'em in person, although I plan to this summer. But I saw 'em play on SNL and Conan. Issac Brock's voice is very off and on, live. That's the only thing I noticed. The music sounded good. Haven't seen too many of thier songs though. It was just the radio hits, that are always played on shows like that. Don't know if that helps or not.

Yeah I saw them on SNL also. That's when i started getting worried bout seeing them live (pre-knowing they'd be at roo). Since that point i've read some mixed reviews of their live shows.
The main thing i've always worried bout it how they'd pull of some of the stuff they do on cd (voice layering etc).
As a side not, those who have only heard the radio songs or just their last album "Good News..." should pick up "The Moon & Antarctica" or "Lonesome Crowded West".

I saw them play on Austin City Limits (great show if you dont know what it is, longest running live music show, also on PBS) and to be honest it wasn't all that great. I will give them a try at Bonnaroo because I like the albums they have put out.
