I picked up her latest release "The Greatest" and I have honestly never been so affected by a piece of art like this. It is amazing. I recently learned she canceled her tour (except for Bonnaroo and a couple other dates) due to health issues, does anyone know more details? I would suggest anyone this CD. An artist like her is rare and special. Does anyone else have the same feeling as me?

Get your hands on her previous album "You Are Free." I really think it's better than The Greatest.
Check out the duet with Eddie Vedder on Evolution.
Agreed that You Are Free is a better album (IMO). And speaking of Cat Power (aka Chan Marshall) duets, there is a collaboration on the Handsome Boy Modeling School (Dan the Automator and Prince Paul) White People album that is pretty decent and provides quite different twist on her music and voice.

....And speaking of that HBMS album, the song with Cedric and Omar from the Mars Volta & RZA is amazing........"How many times have you let your tongue go slip From the grin in your teeth and the cracks of your lips........"
