I have heard the rumors of MTV and Bonnaroo, and I hope it is not true, because MTV has done a good job of screwing up things with music in the past 7 or so years. I remember growing up and watching MTV in the late 80's early 90's when It was cool If anybody has turned on MTV lately its a wonder why they still call themselves MTV(music television), they should call it giddy teen channel or something because there format has almost nothing to do with music anymore.

Ugh MTV and Bonnaroo should never be used together in the same sentence, I hope this doesn't start up all the mtv bought bonnaroo rumors again though.............

I'm thinking that its more of an Mtv thing than a Bonnaroo thing.. they're just using the Roo name to sell a few more accounts.
I'm pretty sure that Superfly just kind of shrugged when Mtv came to them with this and said "well, if you must, you must" and let them use the Roo name.
If they were actually tied in with Superfly and Bonnaroo, that is to say, if Superfly was seeing any money from this, Bonnaroo.com would have made some sort of announcement on it.
well, what I ment was them using the logo and everything to promote the program.
I'm sure somebody had to call someone else, just to get a definate ok.. in this day's letigious (sp?) society, people are so quick to sue over little things...
not that I'm saying Superfly would sue, just that Mtv is a savvy enough corporation to cover all it's bases.

yeah I just know that rumors are always all over the place with the whole MTV thing. I personally am not worked up. I could care less if the service has a bonnaroo section. I imagine thats a pretty good idea for any service.
