As you might know, today is my 32nd birthday. You may also be aware that I have been rather bummed-out because I just found out about P-Funk playing Atlanta (4 blocks from my apt) and that Hilari and I were financially unable to attend. It sucked but, it's life. Right?
NO!
An Inforooster (who wishes to remain annonymous) actually bought us tickets to the show! Can you believe that? I would've never dreamed of asking anyone for a gift like this and I would never have expected anyone to surprise us like this......much less a person that we've never even met in person! I'm "floored" by this incredibly generous act! It is, very likely, the nicest thing that anyone has ever done for me! DAMN!!!!!! This wonderfully humble angel has taken my birthday to a whole different level this year and I am forever in his/her debt!! DOUBLE DAMN!!!
I'm usually a cynical curmudgeon of a man who expects the absolute least in most people and gets even less but, it's people like this that honestly restore my faith in my fellow man. Did I say "Damn" yet?
I had to share this with you guys because, even though this beautiful human wants to keep their name private, I thought that the incredible deed it's self needed to be mentioned and praised!
We've got some top-shelf, kick-ass, mind-blowingly cool people on this board!
THANK YOU!!!!!!
-Josh & Hilari

YAAAAY!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D My wish DID come true! Thank you thank you THANK YOU to the grantor I understand wanting to stay anonymous but know that so many of us want to karma you to death!!
And Josh and Hil.....have a WONDERFUL time at the concert! ;D You deserve it and it's the best thanks you can give the most generous benefactor! ;D
I'd like to separately add my thanks to the person because I don't think we could possibly say thank you enough for this! What a totally unexpected, generous, amazing thing for someone to do!
Also, the acts that seem small, giving advice to new rooers. With my wife having MS we could not have made with out leo's survival guide and the many suggestions that were made. We had a great time and could have only done it with the help of inforoo. If not for the advice the heat and other things would of killed us. It was like have insider information. 2008 will even be better as Aly and others have given more advice that will help make it easier. So you are correct Inforoo rocks.
Big inforoo love fest........................in the happy hippie kinda way not the swinger way......
that's so cool! as everyone else has said, that was such a great thing to do! if we knew who you were, i'd definitely give you a karma.
as i was reading through the thread, i kept waiting for the person to reveal themself...like "It was me!! I'm the wonderful, generous person!"...but it' didn't happen. haha

Words cannot describe
This place has done more for me than I ever expected or dreamed. Make fun of the "karma" all you want, there is REAL karma all over here. And then we all take it and bring it into the real world... and we ARE the real world, at least according to me. I've shared corn and music and conversation in person with two of you so far, can't wait to one day meet so many more...
and on the night of november twenty-one, two-thousand and seven, in celebration, Corncat bestoweth the funk upon a deserving soul, and in doing so, he hath bestoweth it upon us all
this makes me so happy! hope you have a wonderful time! karma to this wonderful person! i knew there was a reason i hang out on inforoo so much! its because its full of such amazing people!

awww!! Good vibes left and right... a good story to start my thanksgiving off right. ive been sick and kinda in a negative funk the past few days, but i'm absolutely determined to get myself in the right mindframe today, and i know good things will follow. we all have a lot to be thankful for, not the least of which is being a part of something as great and generous as inforoo
