Ok, so I posted this on my myspace today and thought i'd do the same here... i don't usually post blogs or start threads, but i thought this was important. We are all very fortunate folks...
"Happy thanksgiving everyone! The holidays are supposed to be a time to reflect on whatcha got, so i thought i'd take a minute to let everyone know what i am thankful for this year... i hope that others do the same. You don't tend to realize how lucky you are until you sit back and think about all the things you have that many people don't.
So, "Powers that Be", thank you for...
relative peace in my home and being able to live with my family for over three months...
the close-knit group of friends that I have whom I could trust my life with (you know who you are)
the fairly decent job that keeps me fed, happy, and partying
tony, and how happy he makes me
the intellectual ability and motivation to go back to school
the roof over my head, the warm snuggly bed i sleep in every night, the food on my table and the green in my bowl
my plentifully large, albeit crazy, family
music!
and all that good shit i forgot about or didn't have time to write about.
Celebrate, we will... for life is short but sweet for certain..."
I was in a funk earlier today and couldn't seem to shake it. I got to thinking of this thread so grabbed my corn, put on some Pink Floyd and contemplated this question. Needless to say, my funk has lifted and here's my short list.
My wife (1st and foremost) My dogs and goat (7 and 1 respectively) My house and land (Humble but all mine) Corn (and all similarly affecting items) Music (of any and all varieties) Having an inquisitive mind Having lived long enough to have acheived a sort of financial freedom and a reasonable knowledge of how to enjoy it. Inforoo!
I just have to ask....do you have a really great workout routine or is it just great genes (jeans)?
And we all expect you to be dancing it OFF tomorrow night with the masters of Da Funk....for all of us ;D We'll be with you guys in spirit!
And I also am thankful for the mystery Rooster....and for all the friends and family I am blessed with....the people in my life make it all worth it - including all you guys

Roger Waters Live In the flesh DVD and some corn is what just cured what was ailing me too!
Family, Friends, Infofriends, All that Rocks in the World, Whatever Mysterious Force decided to magically fix my car stereo for the long treck home last night so i could crank Okonokos and make the LIE traffic bearable (I have my ideas about the source of that magic , my Ozzy/Rob Zombie tix that just came in the mail, the Langerado adventure I have coming ahead, and every other not-as-of-yet planned Rockin' thing that my future will bring. That's what I am thankful for right about now! ;D
Oh, and how can I leave out... the fact that VAN HALEN IS COMING, coming where? no idea, but coming just the same
After an insanely depressing year I found myself struggling yesterday to be thankful...
