okay so i read the book too, and i'm glad i did because the movie would have totally ruined the book (which was good; and i had high hopes for the movie)
anyone else seen it? i really don't want to give it away, but i didn't even think it was scary at all the whole theater was laughing at times
especially the last 10 minutes... the dramatic music was classic
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
Haven't seen it but am a big Stephen King fan (his books anyway) and Frank Darabont directed SK's two best movies so far (Shawshank Redemption, Green Mile) so I thought I'd see if he did a good job here. Will wait 'til after the Thanksgiving rush though.
The Stand is one of my favorite books of all time. I read it when I was 13. "M-O-O-N" I had high hopes for The Mist as a movie. The book had such a wonderful B-movie feel to it. It would have been hard to pull off, but it could have been wonderful. I haven't seen it yet, but what I saw in the previews makes me think they changed a lot from the book and that it won't have the feel I was hoping for. I'll see it when it hits DVD.
