Forget the baubles from Tiffany's and the '54 convertible this year.....I want THIS under my Christmas tree puleez! ;D:
The New Taylor Solidbody Standard Electric Guitar...... The most beautiful electric guitar ever made! And knowing Bob Taylor - the sweetest sounding electric ever! Can't wait to get my hands on one of these!
I think we should all start a trust fund for it...by the time it's old enough for college we should be able to afford it - LOL! Then we can share custody....and probably afford to maintain it with room and board
I haven't actually seen list on it yet....but right now it is in limited release so I'm sure it's going for whatever the market will pay right now..... They don't kick into full production till end of Jan 2008....I am guessing the low end model (this is the mid-range one) will probably list for around $4k give or take a few hundred....
NIIIICCE! ;D Love the sound of LPs.....but they are WAAY big and heavy for moi If I ever get a Gibson it will be an SG....similar sound, not quite as clean, more growl ( ) but not as heavy.....more manageable for us petite peeps!

I'm quite slender myself. But he has a nice growl to him...I am thinking on getting some new pick ups but..not sure what kind yet...but im broke so ..ill just have to wait..On a second thought he has more of a howl to him than growl. But he does both

That first pic seriously just inspired me to finally learn guitar. My girlfriend has a strat just sitting at her parents house, and i am now adopting it.

LOL...yeah but I'm betting your hands are bigger than mine Muls! AND that you are a LITTLE taller .....
Personally, I am a Seymour Duncan fan when it comes to pickups...that's what I will probably get for my Peavey when I finally breakdown and replace the pickups on it...course the pickups will cost more than the guitar did! So I probably won't ever do it....

That Taylor is pretty sweet, but Les Pauls give me the chills, and i don't even play. Really my motivation is to get good enough to justify the cost of a LP custom. ;D

Whatever it takes.... ;D LPs are sweet! And even the custom probably won't set you back anymore than the Taylor if as much...and if it brings you joy - it's worth every penny!

I played one at Guitar Center today it was sweet. I didn't see the list but their asking price was just under $1800. they had another Taylor solidbody without the maple top for $1400.
I think I would go for a PRS if I were to buy another electric. Hurricane Katrina took my last one.

Awww...sorry for your loss Mojo.... PRS makes nice guitars....tho the necks are a little wide for my taste....but I do like the sound and they are ....as Becca would say....very PRETTYFUL!
Looks like list on this beauty is about $2400 Well below what I would have thought.....niiice! This one for under $2000? I could start saving for that..... ;D Still a couple of Festivuses away tho'.....

Thats a slick looking guitar. And your right. They sound fantastic with nothing done to them. I kept everything stock including strings until a month ago. I think I'm gonna try the Gilmour set up if I can find it. Heard positive things about it.
i'm building a goldtop strat now... but i ran into a bit of a neck fitting problem... i'll keep you all updated on it in the coming weeks... but we'll see how it pans out... i might be selling a sweet goldtop strat body if anyone is interested... :-)
