:: THE 2006 BONNAROO MUSIC FESTIVAL IS SOLD OUT ::
There will be no tickets available for sale at the festival site. If you don't have a ticket, we strongly urge you to stay home and not to come to the festival expecting to purchase one.
Thanks to everyone for your tremendous enthusiasm and support for our 5th annual festival. We're really excited about this year's Bonnaroo and we're looking forward to seeing you in a few days.
Looks like all 80,000 sold out. Sweet!! Look forward to seein all of u there.
last year had 90,000 tickets, but did NOT sell out, the final count was 77,000 attendies, so the sold out festival will only have 3,000 more folks this year than last,
I think it really helps having arguably the biggest band in the world right now in the lineup.
It sold out faster when the Dead played in 2004. Estimated crowd of 100K-120K according to the sheriff.
No offense to Radiohead, the Dead crowd travels very very well.
They're also really good at breaking down fences. I must have met a dozen people (only a couple had actually came in together) who had gotten in and somehow got around the whole bracelet issue. I think the organizers learned some lessons that year.

90K tickets for 120K fans = good luck with security... LOL Not condoning... just laughing.
People were cutting the extra part ("the tail") of like ten peoples bracelets off and taping them together to make one realy shitty looking bracelet.

Now, they said last year had 77,000 and this year they sold 80,000 tickets. We already know (think) that they sold 80,000 regular tickets, and above and beyond that in VIP/Comp tickets. Does anyone know if the 77,000 was total tickets sold, or just regular tickets? It seems to me there will be more like 90-100,000 people with all the VIPs and stuff

in '04 I think the "sold" 90K and totals were 100-120K via aeiral estimates.
Last year I would be SHOCKED if there were a total of 80K. The camps seemed half as dense/packed.
This year if they sold the 80K I would expecit it to top out at 90K unless there are a lot of fence jumpers. You will know if there are a lot o fence jumpers because they will tell you.

My friend and i were planning on leaving thursday morning at 7 and we have a 5 hour drive. I was wondering if since it sold out we should leave earlier or not.

You will probably be okay. We have about a 3 hour drive, and we are leaving around 9. That is what we did in '04 (I believe it was sold out that year, too), and we were only in line about an hour and a half.
