Anyone else going to have a holiday that's not so green? As i have started creating my christmas shopping list (making wise us of my time at work), i'm starting to brainstorm how to shop for so many people, but still give some thoughtful cool gifts. Here's some ideas that I've come up with so far, and was wondering if anyone had any others. These can be for anyone from casual coworkers to significant others and family members...anyone on your list.
"gift bags" for those certain types in your life... perhaps a pack of papers, some air freshner for personal or vehicular use, a lighter, pack of gum or mints, individually wrapped "munchie" (fun size bag of chips, or perhaps home made fudge)
everyone loves burned CDs! Some music you know they're into, some music that reminds you of them, some stuff you think they should get into...
it seems "cheap," but most every dollar tree has some decent ass stuff for a buck, especially if you go the gift basket route. What would cost $25 plus at JCPenny's or Bath and Body Works you can get for $5 there... it all smells just as good. Also, they have great candles, incense, office supplies, packaging/wrapping items, some cheapish hardware (what lady doesn't love a precision screwdriver set for her purse?) and cosmetics for the preteen/young teen age.
Home made food of any sort... popcorn balls, fudge, chocolate covered candies, chocolate covered pretzels, snack mix, beef jerky... most things can be made for fairly cheap and divided among a decent amount of gift packs.
home made peppermint bath salts, using peppermint oil, epsom salts, and food coloring (not a lot)
ornaments that are tailored to that person are something that they can hold onto and has sentimental value
Ok, sorry for the randomness, I was hoping i'd have more creative ideas as I progressed in this post, but alas, work has sucked some of my ingenuity away. But that's what ya'll are here for. Any other ideas? COmments? Questions? Haha
I am doing the homemade goodies this year but you gave me an idea for the bath salts - you can use any kind of essential oil for those and I have a few friends that bath salts would be better to give then food.

Homebrewed Beer. I hope to have an Oatmeal Stout bottled and conditioned in time for Christmas. Good for anyone over 21. Can make 2 cases for around $30.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

sounds yummy - just found out - legal to brew wine in Mississippi but illegal to brew beer - WTF?
