Apparently my brother wants a wii for christmas and my mother just informed me to try and find one. It looks like today was pretty much the last day shipments come in, except for possibly walmart, so i am now trying to enlist the help of the fellow inforooers. So if you're out and for some reason have a surplus of money, i know i wouldn't, and see a wii in your travels i'd be happy to pay a 20-30 finders fee plus the shipping if you would be brave enough to pick it up. I know this is unlikely, but just putting the word out there to try and cover all my options.

One of my co-workers took to calling GameStop every morning as they were getting their shipment until he found out they had some. One day he got lucky and left work and go one ( we have an understanding boss).
I happened to walk in wal-mart just as they were putting them out the other day and got one. They've been getting a regular supply, if I see one I'll grab it.

Yeah, word is walmart will be keeping a steady flow in this week, so i'll unfortunately be calling every morning. Of course my mom couldn't tell me this a week or 2 ago. ;D
I am one of the lucky ones that have a Wii (got it free from the now ex-girlfriend, at least I got something out of it....jk) and it is so much fun. Metroid Prime 3 and Super Mario Galaxy are the nuts. Graphics are not as pretty as 360 and PS3 but if you want fun that anyone can pick up, the Wii is where the gameplay is at.
Also there is nothing better than seeing a bunch of drunk people playing Wii bowling. The ultimate test will be if my dad can grasp how to play the Wii over christmas.

And the coolest thing is that they will be releasing a Star Wars game in the spring and it will include a dual mode! You finally get to use the wiimote as it was intended... as a lightsaber.

nice! i had no idea about this. i don't care who you are, everyone at some point in their lives wishes they had a lightsaber.

Well that is already taken care of for the PS3. ;D And for the record, Rock Band owns GH3. If you have the extra money and can find it, get rock band. If not, GH3 is still a good buy.

I believe either this tuesday or next, but i just read that its pretty stripped down on the ps2, so GH3 may be the better deal. Depends on if you will have people to fill out the whole band.
my husband works at Best Buys. There were 57 people in line at 4 AM when he went into work today. All waiting for the Wii. He said the Gamestop rain check is your best bet. Unless you like sitting outside a Best Buy at 1 AM
