Anyone go this weekend? We went to see it and it was freaking great!
I am a huge fan of Matheson's original book as well as the Vincent Price film, Last man on Earth.
and of course, this book was the inspiration for George Romero's original Night of the Living Dead.
I am going to try to go see it again, preferably when the theatre isnt as packed. It was great though!!!!
It has to be hard to carry a film by yourself and Will Smith does a helluva job. Definitely one of his finest performances.
Will smith has turned into one of the best actors of my generation...
"Now this is a story all about how my life got flipped turned upside down. Id like to take a minute just sit right there I'll tell you how I became the Prince of a town called Bel-Aire!

I just want to know.... why is it that in atleast 90% of Will Smith's movies is his role to more or less save the human race? It's just getting old for me...
I saw the movie, thought it was entertaining... but won't pay money to see it again. Did anybody else think the graphics were a bit behind in the times?
Its all personal opinion folks. if you are interested in seein it, then see it and make your own decision. I saw it and i was very entertained.
Only thing that made it suck were the stupid girls and their ghetto boyfriends in front of us, and this loud ghetto family with young children next to us. The little girl laughed hysterically at every part of sadness or tragedy. WHy are you taking your kids to a 1020 movie, thats why i effin went at 1020!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will Smith's acting abilities are contrived and i can see right through them. I, Robot was a great story and well directed film that the fresh prince totally ruined for me. I love anything dealing with surviving the end of the world but I think i will pass on this one because I don't want to see a movie that only stars will smith. I respect other's opinions and won't hate anyone for liking him or his work, but i can't stand him and am sure the movie is full of smart-ass one-liners that are only funny for small minds. "Man, the end uv the werld is jus like the ghetto on a saturday" "Damn, I hate the zoo!" (after punching out an escaped lion) "Where are all the honies at? oh yeah they dead."

I'm the same way, it also doesn't hurt that the movies usually look better on my tv. I'd really never go to the theaters if my damn blockbuster stocked blu-rays.

Haha, about that....lets just say me and my friends go to late showings for a reason, heh. Pick a seat in the back and you could munch down on some corn easily. It may jsut be the theater we go to though because everybody who works there is a high school kid who just wants to leave so they really dont care.
As for the movie, Im interested and Im sure Ill put in in my Netflix queue when it comes out.

^^^Regardless of gender, you gotta accept Johnny Depp as one of the greatest actors to hit the screen. Everything he does is jaw-dropping, in my opinion.
okay, so now this perks my interest... maybe ill check that out - we have a buy one get one free coupon for the local imax... might be a good way to spend tomorrow.
as for as johnny depp - awesome actor - he's come a long way since 21 jump street and freddy.
and i dont like will smith - he is just too goofy / feel good / lcd appealing / meh for me. although, he did work in men in black.

i saw it on some free online movie site, it was ok i guess, nothing too special, jus another movie where will smith saves the world really, ive heard great reviews of the book and that the movie (like with most books to movie)doesnt do it justice
so i definitly have to find a copy of the book n read it
Yeah, I saw it the other night. I thought the first half of the movie was really solid. My interest was peaked and I thought there'd be a good payoff, and, well, I didn't think there was....at all. To each there own I guess.
