Portal is one of 5 games packaged in what is called "The Orange Box". Throughout the game, the only voice you hear is that of GLaDOS, a computer program. After beating the game, you are treated to GLaDOS singing a catchy little tune called "Still Alive". The lyrics of the song reference events in the game, so if you haven't played it, you won't get it. However, throughout the game, GLaDOS tells you that, should you survive, you will be given cake. Moist, delicious cake.
We got the Orange Box, and COD4 for xmas (along with a few other games) these were the two biggies.
After playing both of them extensively, I must say, though short, Portal is one of the most unique and refreshing games to come along in a very long time. I wasnt expecting it to be all that great, but man did we have a good time playing that game. Some of the rooms were very difficult to figure out....
