Actually about to upgrade my work/computer speakers.
Pretty sure I've settled on Emotiva Airmotiv 4s. Little large for my space, but I want to fucking rock!
a bunch of my friends over on head-case.org have those emotiva speakers and love them. i know emotiva is a great company, will be interested to know how you like them.
The project I worked on for over six months, that I designed & created & spent way too much time on, that I felt would never end, just won Gold at the ASLA awards ceremony!! YAY!!
And, there was some VERY EXCELLENT news last night from two dear friends that had me over the moon happy before I even found out about the award. So it's been an awesome 12 hours or so.
I just found out that my insurance is going to cover 80% of the kids special hypoallergenic formula. We spent close to $1k on just formula this past month and it will go down to just over $200. This might be the first time Anthem has worked in my favor.
I just finished my first paid, professional writing assignment. It's small and insignificant, but it's my small and insignificant piece of shit and that means something dammit. Didn't want to post this on social media to beat my own chest, but I still wanted to tap it. So I thought, there's a thread for that on Inforoo.
Also: luva I live in Montgomery, small world. Just noticed you're from Aurora.

My doctors called me today and said all my blood work came back normal! No cancer for me!!!!! Will still probably need surgery to get this thing removed, but that isn't happening until March. So yay!!
Also, I'm seeing my best friend tonight for the first time since early October!!
Our new TV has spotify! Really helping with the house cleaning and general convenience of musical enjoyment at home.
This may be the greatest development in my life in at least the past month. Doesn't it feel like being addicted to crack and having a kingpin dealer in your house all the time?!?! It's grrrreaaaaat

Looks like Belle & Sebastian are coming to Bonnaroo! They're near the top of my bucket list, and with Weezer and Alabama Shakes already rumored, I'm hopeful that my friends and I will make the trek down to Roo this summer. Additionally, after two weeks of persistent cloud cover, the sun has finally returned to Ithaca!
I got my favorite gift this year at a secret want party today. My buddy's girlfriend, whom ive only met twice before today, got me strand of oaks 'heal' on vinyl. thay would have been enough, but she told me to be careful there's something else inside, and it turned out to be a 'coupon' to to babysit my daughter and 10 blotter tabs. Rock on.
