My son got invited to participate in an Engineering & Technology Youth Leadership forum. It is an 8 day course at one of the top 5 colleges in the nation for technology. He can earn up to 2 college credits and the experience alone he will get from this... I am the proudest momma of all mommas right now. I sometimes can't believe that I created a kid that is this awesome and all about his future, and knows what he wants to do with it. I am on the verge of happy tears. Now to I just need to figure out how to fund this.
My best friend of 15 years moved to Oklahoma a couple of years ago, so I only get to see him every now and then. He called me last night and told me he is transferring back to Alabama and will be living about 5 minutes away from me!
My 10" O2 cool fan arrived via Amazon. #bonnaroosupplies
I bought one last year and it saved my life on sunday. Didn't really need it until then (from arkansas and used to the heat) -- it's pretty big! You'll love it.

I run mine while I sleep and let it blow near my face. Provides some background noise to help me fall asleep and keep sleeping when the people around me start waking up and doing shit. It has helped me sleep longer and better at Roo. It's one of my most essential Roo supplies.
I cuddle that thing. Hard. Wrap my arms around it like it's my lover and let it blow inches from my face. I agree, between the moving air and the white noise, it allows at least an hour extra sleep every morning. Outside of Roo, the thing sucks though. I don't have central air, so during the summer I have a window unit in my bedroom and fans all over the house. I don't even bother taking my 02 out. It's pretty weak compared to regular plug in ones. Especially the vornado!!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

I have two for Roo! One is on my face, the other is on my body, set at different angles.
And gavush, the batteries in my fans usually last for two Roos! But I always bring back up just in case because the fans are essential.
Been down and out cause "The Man" for the past several weeks. Felt like someone hacked my calendar and decided to sabatage it with carefully orchestrated deadlines...day after thanksgiving break, day after my birthday...DAY AFTER BONNAROO!?!?! For some reason this shut me down and I just turned into a "whatever it takes to hit the deadlines" kind of mood, accepted that I wouldn't get to go to Bonnaroo, disappeared from Inforoo for the sake of not having to read about all of the great acts, quit researching bands on the lineup, etc. Then last week someone with more authority than me at work told me, "deadlines come and go, man, you've gotta do your thing." Not only did this motivate me to want to hit a deadline a week earlier but it was kind of like that feeling when you have something in your hand but you're looking all over the place for it. Tomorrow I'm going into work with a new attitude and desire to challenge my current deadlines in order to make it to Bonnaroo 2015!
While I am excited to get any approval to photograph a show...I just got approved to photograph Gov't Mule & John Scofield. Mule is notoriously difficult on "freelancers" when it comes to photo passes. I got lucky and I could not be more excited to photograph Warren and John. Warren holds a lot memories for me dating back over the years...First concert I saw in Knoxville was Mule opening for Steve Miller Band - The surprise Warren solo show at Bonnaroo 2003 - The Christmas Jams that I have been to have always been special, and the list go on and on. First time I have had the opportunity to photograph him.
In the past I have sung the praises of Sydney's Vivid Festival, which featured a 4-show residency by the Pixies last year, and a discography-spanning residency by Kraftwerk the year before. Well, guess which bucket list act just got announced as their artist-in-residence this year?
Fingers crossed that I can get tickets... and that he actually shows up.
My tax refund money came. I'm so excited. A trip to toys r us is in the future for my son for allowing me as a single mom to get crazy money back. My next step is to purchase roo tickets/gear and beale street tickets/hotel. Everything else is going into savings until needed. Life is good. I can breathe. NO MORE BEING BROKE FOR AWHILE lol
YAY ticketmaster stopped being a jerk and let me print my ticket. I also just realized that its ok that my dvr didn't record parks and rec cause it will be on demand.

I've definitely got to get one of those. I did get a big order in from Amazon last week including a lot of gear for Bonnaroo, and a big stack of new CDs. Just got a few more things to get for 'Roo and I'll be done. Hopefully most of it holds up so it can be used again.

Just got back from a 10-mile run and it felt great! It's such a nice day out and I ran a route I've always wanted to try but just hadn't done yet. I've recently re-committed to running/exercising in an effort to lose weight. The fact that this run felt really good all the way through makes me feel even better.
