My parents were cleaning out the house and found a sealed bottle of Macallan 15. They have no idea where it's from, and since no else drinks scotch in my family, it's mine.

Bonus points to the coach tonight who read his players the riot act about making fun of a teammate with special needs. Loved how he told them that it's not how you act on a team or in life in general.

We got the apartment!
Brand new unit in an old funeral home downtown with access to a private park. Brand new appliances (a brand new gas range! *swoon*), utilities included (even electric!), an enclosed back porch. I'm so excited!!

JK, that sounds amazing! Old houses are where it's at. Would love to see some pics!

Not gonna lie, it creeps me out. Especially since the basement has a lot of equipment still in it. But the landlord is amazing. It's in a historical neighborhood, so he's getting all these grants to bring the building back up to historical accuracy.
As soon as I can get pictures, I will definitely share! It's still being remodeled. When we looked at it first, there weren't any walls. It was a shell. We have friends in the building already, so based on what their unit looks like we're really happy. Move in August 1st!
I am putting an offer on a condo just down the street from me in Denver! Its certainly on the higher end of what I can afford and I will have to be more lean financially (until I get another raise) but there is a good chance I will own my own pad in a matter of weeks! I am brimming with nervousness and excitement for making such a major investment, but ultimately it will be a good one. =)
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

I'll start this off by saying I had a great Bonnaroo, just a fun as the first year and made a couple of my friends want to return with me as often as possible! When I returned home last night I was very tired and went to bed early. Throughout the night I experienced very sharp pains in my stomach. After getting no sleep and having pains intense enough to keep me on the ground, my mom decided to take me to the ER. They told me I had appendicitis and I needed to have my appendix removed immediately. The surgery was successful, and they told me it was so infected that it burst upon removal, thank God I didn't wait longer to come in. My mom and step-dad were supposed to go on vacation this afternoon, but luckily they were still home to bring me to the hospital. I love the friends I went to Bonnaroo with to death (and I'm sure they could've helped me out), but I can't imagine what would have happened if this all occurred while I was at Bonnaroo (I probably would've tried to ignore the pain and keep going to shows...) or while my parents were on vacation. As bad as the situation was, it could've been A LOT worse, and I like to think I have some people up in Heaven looking after me. I feel blessed, God works in mysterious ways.

Currently chillin in the Newark airport, about to fly to Europe (Berlin, Prague, Munich, & Bavaria) for 10 days. My wife and I never had an official "honeymoon", so 3 years later here we are!
And the whiskey bar we were just in played Jungle. Bonus!

My three year anniversary at my job was a little over a week ago, and I just discovered that I now accumulate a bit more PTO! Now I need an excuse to use it....

That was three years ago? Wow. I remember you complaining about your old one and dreamingtree stepping in and telling you about her work place... Time flies when you're an internet hermit obsessed with Bonnaroo.
EDIT: Also, I get a lot of PTO, but I just found out last week that I can accrue another week/year when I hit 15 years. #overhalfwaythere
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Once again, Inforoo pays off. The lady has had limited social options since moving out to CA for her work assignment. She is in San Antonio for a couple days where she is going to meet up with Rothric for beer and much needed social interaction with someone she doesn't work with. Where else can you meet people who don't suck and can help you feel welcome in such a variety of cities across the country?
I hit five years at my job this year. I'll be getting another week off pretty soon.
Usually I end up having a bunch more time than I need to use, so looks like I'll have like a week off in New Hampshire next January. Let the shenanigans begin...
