I bought MMJ tickets last week for their show tomorrow, "best available" was in section D, row 18 by myself. They said no PIT and nothing was closer. So I went ahead and bought. My friend went and looked and found section C, row 5, so I went to look and I just found PIT. It wouldn't have bothered me, if the tickets for the PIT weren't the same price as the seated tickets, but come on! I am going by myself, why would I want to seat with a bunch of strangers when I can stand and get rail by myself? So I called ticketmaster, and after 30 mins, two different people, they changed my ticket to PIT!! I am so excited. Not only do I get to see one of my favorite bands, but I can get on the rail! So fucking excited. Yay!!!
I am so glad it worked out for you! While not pit (no pit at their shows up here this time around), I think my seats will be getting a major upgrade for both Boston shows. I am not sure where my seats are currently, but a friend's friend has 4 "really good orchestra seats" for both nights and currently no one to go with. We feel confident that he's going to pop the question to us <3 <3
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

So, I didn't win my Bag of the Month for the month that I was a finalist in, but today, I got a message from one of the designers from a different month. She asked if she can use a bag I made in one of her listings, and in exchange, she sent me all of her patterns for free! So many new patterns!
I have a job interview! Next Tuesday, for a wellness coordinator position at a counseling center. This was just what I needed today; I had been having one of those days where I left the office for lunch and was considering just never coming back.

Yay, that's exciting!! I have an interview coming up toooooo, next Thursday, for a job with a youth literacy program that I'd be really excited to get.

Yay for that. Hopefully, it will be something you enjoy. I remember my last days of retail where I showed up ten or twenty minutes early every day because I had to psych myself up in the car in order to force myself to go clock in. Getting a new job in another arena is a great, great feeling.

Late last night I found out my grandma had a stroke. My mom called from the hospital and said she couldn't make coherent sentences nor find the right words to say. They didn't know what the prognosis would be. She slept most of the night and through much of today. Anyway, my mom just called and said she'd been up a couple hours and was doing way better. To my surprise my grandma got on the phone and was talking and joking more or less like normal. Fuck yeah. I was already planning on going back home to North Dakota next week and now I get to visit my grandma at her farm instead of a hospital or rehab. She's always making food for my sis and I so we had to get her to agree to let us do the cooking this time. I've been assigned to toast duty.
Also, I looked at her file and under "source of stroke" saw this:

This show took all of 1.8 seconds between discovery and purchase... and that's only because I had to calm my hyperventilation and shaky hands enough to click buttons and stuff. I AM SO EXCITE!

Can't even tell you how jealous I am! That's a psych rock dream show Enjoy!
I rode my bike to work today! It's so damn beautiful in Atlanta right now I would have been a jerk not to hop on my bike. My commute is 18 miles round trip and I haven't ridden more than a lazy mile or two for the last few months so the hills were TOUGH. It still felt great though. Thankfully I've been running a lot so I'm not exhausted right now. I just need to build my bike muscles back up.
Also I bought a car last week! I've never done that before! I got a great deal on it and came in way under budget so that was fun.
I think I'm more excited about the bike ride though haha.

Awesome. I would love to do that. My work is 14 miles one way and hard to avoid major roads.
