On my way to Shaky on Thursday I got a job offer! It pays quite a bit more than I'm making now. I'll be working partly from home, partly in office, and partly in the community so it is pretty perfect.
PLUS I can go to school for my Masters 100% freeeeeee and my kids go for 50% off tuition. When I grow up I want to teach at the college level so this job is a perfect foot-in-the-door step to doing that (it's at a university). I'm super stoked!

Got a free 6 pack of tall boys from the brewery because the dude working the counter is a VULFPECK fan. We were choppin it up VULF-style and he hooked it up! It pays to be a music nerd sometimes.

He didn’t say, we talked about the last time we saw them live, Cory Wongs solo band, Joe Dart and his signature bass.. Oh man only pick one?! Geez I guess anything that highlights Joe Dart so DeanTown, Beastly etc. Cory Wong, Funky Duck, Back Pocket, Wait for the Moment, Fugue State… I can go on forever!!

Apparently the subcontractor I work for got in a huge fight with the MMA company this week and I just got a call from the COO asking if I want to work directly for them! Now the question: how do I figure out what salary to ask for?

ask for an amount you never think they'll go for... shoot your shot. If they want you they will counter then you can start negotiations.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
