When I graduated from high school, I went to Georgetown College (in KY, not the same as Georgetown University in D.C.) for a semester before coming home and slacking off for a year and a half (slacking off for awhile was the best decision I ever made, by the way). I didn't make a ton of friends there, but I was pretty good friends with my roommate and this girl who lived down the hall from us. We even kept in touch for a few years after we graduated, but this was back in the olden days before Facebook, and we lost contact. When Facebook and such started up, I tried to find these girls, but I never could. It doesn't help that the girl down the hall was Julie Johnson. Do you know how many Julie Johnsons are out there? A lot! But, today, I think I found her!!! So, yay!
Yay for the free Stevie Wonder show tonight to kick off the 30th Montreal International Jazz festival. Oh and yay to putting in an offer for a house in Downtown!
Rock of Ages Smashes Guinness World Record for Largest Air Guitar Ensemble
"Tony-nominated new musical Rock of Ages shattered the Guinness World Record for largest air guitar ensemble on July 1. The previous record, held by 440 air rockers at a music festival in Donington Park, U.K., was smashed by a total of 810 rockers at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre after the show’s matinee performance.
In order to break the record, Rock of Ages’ air musicians had to play for at least 90 uninterrupted seconds. Led by 2007 U.S. Air Guitar Champion William Ocean, the 810 cast, crew, audience members and additional fans ended up "playing" for over two minutes to the famous guitar solo from Journey hit “Don’t Stop Believin’.”
“As a professional air guitar player, I can definitely say without a doubt that Broadway rocks,” Ocean told Broadway.com."
It was 2mins 34 secs, to be exact... and here's a scan of my "trophy" ;D

yeah, Dusty Mars. 13 weeks old, got her yesterday, the foster parents named her dusty and they said if i wanted to rename her to implement both names to her for a while and then just go with the one that you want to call her...but The Dusty Mars sounds good to me. howled and cried when we put her in the crate last night until we went to bed and we were laying right next to her, peed twice, craped in the crate. but other than that she's been good.

I'm the opposite of moderate, immaculately polished With the spirit of a hustler and the swagger of a college kid Allergic to the counterfeit, impartial to the politics Articulate but still would grab a ni**a by the colla quick
So, so, so beautiful! Congratulations! As an FYI: the young lady in the front with the blonde hair standing by the railing? I totally thought she was holding a cane at first.
