My girlfriend and a couple friends threw me a surprise party for my birthday last night, complete with a cake and everything. And it was a legitimate surprise, too - I had no idea they were doing anything. I love those bastards so much! Nobody had ever done anything like that for me before - makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! ;D ;D ;D

The current issue of Rolling Stone actually gave him a fairly good review. They compared his new album to 50's doo wop.I personally have never heard the kid.
he actually has a really great little voice, he was discovered off youtube doing covers.
he's just a little cutie, who totally reminds me of how much i used to love backstreet boys/nsync. catchy songs, that make you smile but that will obviously not be around in 50 yrs.
here is the song that made me love him (and maybe only one of 3 songs i actually know by him.)
i am sure i will be the only person over 18 there that isn't a mother dragged along with her child.

YAY for tomorrow: the first paid day off since New Years! And it's supposed to be 80 degrees and sunny! Double yay! I will be working on my tan and perusing Target.
have you seen the youtube video about Jimmy Kimmel surprising the little girl who was the Justin Bieber fan?
i have!! the video with her crying is insane. i also saw an interview with justin bieber, and he said..."i don't understand why they (the fans) are crying! they should be happy." just made me think he was that much of a little cutie! haha.

Yay for olive garden breadsticks and even bigger yay for Goo Goo for Ga Ga! What's that you ask? Oh just a little ol' Lady GaGa drag show! Yesssssssssss!
YAY! we are growing frogg eggs and caterpillars in my second grade classroom and the pupas have started to hatch. i got to see one that is hanging from the top of the butterfly sanctuary start the break out process. it started swaying back and forth like CRAZY. we took a video of it...i will try to post it. i am such a dork, but think it is so cool.
Yay for an awesome dinner last night with an old high school friend. I ran into her last week and it turns out she literally lives one street over from me! We got together last night and talked for 2 1/2 hours. It's nice to re-connect with people you actually liked in high school (and for me, there are very few)!

OG breadsticks are my personal favorite, especially when combined with an overpriced boat of alfredo sauce. It's like magic in your mouth.

Awesome Chico! Wish I could have made it over to Damascus. Must see's in Lebanon if you can swing it are Jeita Grotto (Beirut), Harissa (Beirut), Baalbeck and Anjar ruins in the north. Of course the Cedars in the north also. The Beeca valley is a beautiful drive and the small mountain villages are great like Chekka and especially Beshare.
Last night, my boyfriend and I were talking about home decor (weird, I know). I said that I'd like to matte and frame some cool magazine covers I had, and that jogged my memory that way back in the day, he used to do marketing and promotions for No Depression magazine. I asked him if he had any old issues I could take a look at. He brought out a box with EVERY SINGLE ISSUE. Holy crap. I read until I was so tired I couldn't read any more. I started with Vol. 1, No. 1:
YAY! for reading about "alt country" as it was unfolding and figuring itself out. YAY! for having a pack rat boyfriend. And YAY! for having reading material for the next several months.
