Simply amazing concept...it's like a giant parable about every important aspect in ones life. Him finally realizing that he's just as much a part of the evil that the whole album warns against is absolutely brilliant.
The whole album is based around Dm...it's like Roger started playing the opening lick to "In the Flesh" and all the other songs just sprouted off that one idea.
I can see how Roger could have came up with the idea to do the synch with the Wizard of Oz because of this movie...I can see a link between DSOTM's lyrics and the scenes of Oz...it might just be the corn though.
Clearly the "best album" distinction goes to Dark Side or Meddle, but the flow of The Wall is damn near perfect...and the movie is incredible! Good call on that.
