I'm starting my second week of classes here, and I can't be the only one.
I'll be graduating in May with a BA in Political Science, so my schedule is nothing but courses in the major. Policy-Making Process Legislative Process Legislative Internship (Sen. Feingold's office) Contemporary Political Thought: Critics of Modernity
I am at austin community college right now for my second semester, just taking basics and hopefully transferring to a&m next year! So, those are my plans. School is gonna keep me pretty busy this semester i feel.
Pretending to work 201 sounds a lot more practical than a lot of actual classes I've taken.
Some of the more useless courses on my transcript: The Tales of Hans Christian Andersen Age of Dinosaurs Intro to Television Bowling I Principles of International Law (spent a whole semester learning the stuff, only to write a ten-page paper on how it doesn't affect state behavior) Insects & Human Culture Volcanoes & Civilization

you live IN AUSTIN and ur not gonna go to UT, instead you are going to go to A&M?! im not doggin A&M my uncle went there and stuff, but if you compare the cities i mean c'mon....live music capital .... 6th street
but this is a houstonian's perspective and my city isnt all that great, every time i go to austin its just so nice to be in a completely different environment and its only 2.5 hours away
it was convenient in a way - it was an 8 a.m. class and I basicallyjust went straight from the bar to the class - I was alread dressed (wranglers and ropers - OMG)

mine was quantitative analysis. imagine a class where they teach you everything you learned was wrong and here is how you do it right. but dont bother doing this in real world situations.

I know, I know. I was planning on transferring to UT, but have since changed my mind. i absolutely love the city of austin! But there's just some little weird reasons that i feel i should go to a&m, but still will only be an hour and a half away if i do!

^^^were both taking geography yay!
Yea it's just a random elective I took... It's actually a lot more interesting than I had originally thought. Of course the professor is pretty awesome, so that always helps make any class somewhat interesting
^same, i still have a few more electives to take and I figured that if i dont learn my world geography now, I probably wont ever. it's interesting so far, but we're still in north america the only thing that sucks is we have a test every 3 weeks which are apparently brutal (according to the prof) we will see...
im mostly worried about my communication theory class. Apparently it's the hardest class I have to take for my major.

I'm a philosophy major with two semesters left so I'm taking mostly philosphy courses: Global Political Philosophy, Post Modernity, Metaphysics, Kantian philosophy, and Epistemology.
I think my favorite class I ever took was either Human Sexuality - a lot of fun, and I learned a lot...we even had a class on sex positions! or The History of Indie Rock, From Punk to Post-Modern. I probably would've liked the second class more had I not had the WORST professor that gave me a C on my 11 page paper about Elvis Costello that I poured my freakin' heart and soul into. He literally wrote on my paper, "This is awful. Why did you even write a paper?"...what a jerk.
This term I"m finishing up classes for both my majors, and trying to fill space so that I can get 2 degrees: Political Science 412 - Statistics (ew. ) Political Science 492 - Special Topics: The First Amendment (LOVE!) Psychology 109 - Drukqs and Human Behavior Psychology 420 - Addiction Theory Arabic 101 - Really, really hard, but I love it
I joke that this is my "Drugs" semester. I'll graduate in December with a BS in Psychology and a BA in political science. After that it's off to get my master's in public administration and run a nonprofit agency!
edit: excuse the incoherent babble. I hate being sick! edit edit: I love the filter there...lol
I almost included the Ballroom Dance class I took in spring semester as useless. I took that course in anticipation of being my friend's best man, so I wouldn't look like a fool at the reception. It had its uses.
Shame about the Elvis Costello paper. I was lucky enough to write a music-themed paper too. It was for "TV, Radio & Film as Mass Media." We had to select a "text" and explain how it changed the relevant industry. Most everyone in the class went with films or TV shows, but being who I am I had to take the music angle. I went with the Nevermind album and how it altered radio in its wake. Probably my favorite paper I've written in all of college. It didn't hurt that most of the foundational work for that album was done here in Madison, but the only recording from that stuff which made the album was "Polly."
