I deceided (at age 40) that a degree would be a good thing to have because I never got around to doing it before..... My company pays 100% so I would be stupid not to take advantage of it.
Anyway so I am doing it all online because I work full time and am a single Mum, but my classes right now are:
Intro to Pyschology Human Resources Management Criminal Justice (and 17 others after these.....)
I got A's on my first 2 exams so I am pretty happy with my progress so far - considering I have never done anything like this before ;D

i'm 32 and i am thinking of going back to school this fall. i would have to move 2 1/2 hours away. thinking about majoring in ecotourism, environmental restoration, or forest management at hocking college. it would be a pretty big deal for me but at 32, i think i'm finally ready for college.

I know a few people who did ecotourism and most dropped out, mostly because its a lot of physical work at first. I believe they went to canada and planted trees for like 3 days straight as the first thing they did. One of them was always really crafty with outdoors stuff and graduated from the program though, learning a lot of cool stuff in the process.

I didn't get drunk last night but there have been times where I do it and a few where I've still been drunk the next morning but go to class anyway. Hell, what is college for if not learning how to deal with being intoxicted in public.

Hey Bamadancer! My good friend is the top kicker for UAB's football team! Does the name Swayze Waters ring any bells? I believe he is the number 1 ranked college kicker in America.
This is my final semester (not counting a US history course ...apparently TN requires that you can ONLY get GEN ed credit for US history 1 & 2 or TN History ...no other history counts ...good think my adviser didn't inform me about this until I had already taken 2 other history classes! )
I've been learning US history since 1st grade! No wonder why other countries dislike us; we know nothing about the history of the rest of the world - we're too busy studying indians, pilgrims, and george washington
Because I transferred schools and changed majors I have more than enough electives, but now that i (finally!) have a good idea of what i'd like to do in the future, i've realized there's a lot of classes that could benefit me (plus some that look like fun! .

UAB, I love it!
Props for being the least snobby school in Birmingham. I was going to Samford but decided to come to Mobile for school. I miss Birmingham daily though. There are a fair amount of Bonnaroo goers from BHM. Where did you go to High School?
