Anyone interested in adopting a cat or giving a pregnant kitty a foster home?
Next to one of the off campus sites at Middle TN university (Murfreesboro, TN) there are a bunch of cats, most probably about 1 year old who have no home after the old man that was feeding them passed away. The school has bought his home and there's only about 1 month before they demolish it (this is currently where the kitties stay in the cold)
One of the secretaries has been taking care of the cats, but neither her, me, or anyone we've asked has been able to take any of them in. Some are spayed/neutered already and the local shelter has already agreed to spay/neuter the cats for free if someone takes them home.
There are maybe about 6 cats, 1 that is pregnant, maybe 2. All of them are friendly enough that the secretary can pick them up - which is a good sign that they would become good pets for someone. There is one orange tabby that is missing an eye and is sooo adorable, I'd take him/her in but i've already got 2 shelter kitties and I'm allergic to them!
Please, if you are interested & able let me know, either here or through a pm!
awwwwww, if i lived in tn i would adopt one! too bad im 1000 miles away. I hope they get good homes! You may have luck on craigslist if you list them for a small adoption fee (to make sure they go to people who are willing to take good care of them). Then you can just buy supplies with that money to send the kitty home with. That's where I found my kitty! good luck to you!!!
Squirrel, I may also suggest a little group called Agape. I gave them a cat a couple years back that I had found on my friend's patio in Antioch... I know they are the ones who run the PetSmart adoptions on Saturdays...a woman named Kim Kmiec helped me. I think you can find them on the internet. Also, I'm willing to donate some food in the meantime if you need it. Let me know on here or email me at jcl2w@mtsu.edu.

Thanks so much joga, this group looks like it might be a really big help! ;D
I found the Agape site, I'll definitely pass the info on to the secretary who's been taking care of them. Thanks for the food offer too, I hadn't thought to ask her about it! - I'll let you know if she needs any help with that, i'll probably donate some food myself.
