Hey everyone, checking in here from New Orleans at Mardi Gras. Last night was damn cold. Y'all will probably laugh when I say that it was in the 40's and it was cold. haha, but I was freezing. There were 4 parades last night in total. One was rained out on Wednesday night and rolled last night instead. I'm about to head out in a few minutes here to go set up shop for the big one tonight, Endymion. Then after the parade I'm heading to an exclusive party at the Blain Kern World(it's where they build all of the floats for the parades). You have to wear a costume to get in and from what I'm hearing it should be a whole lot of fun. It's called the M.O.M.'s Ball (M.O.M.'s standing for Krewe of Mystics, Orphans, and Misfits). I'm kinda proud of my costume, although it's the same thing I wore for Halloween. Oh well. I'll be taking pictures today, so I'll have some pictures for you guys, well sometime cause I forgot to bring my cable to connect my camera to my computer. Just thought you guys might be interested.

This word also has a underground meaning once you break it down. Let’s take “Bonn” for example and it actually turns into the word “Bone”. We all know gays use this word to describe the action of when they are fecal fisting their Cuban cabana boy at their sex bath house parties. Now let’s look at Roo, “Roo” is short for “Kangaroo”.So put the full true message together and you get“Bone a Kangaroo

damn I didn't even realize its mardi gras time. I thought it wasn't until the 3rd week of february though. One of the only things I miss from the south.
Checking in again here. Had a great time last night. Just waking up from it though. I already wanted to be out on the parade route by now. Anyway went to the M.O.M's ball last night and wow, what a party that was. Walked in and the whole thing was really centered around the concert there, The Radiators. It was a great show. It all started at 10, but I couldn't make there until about 11. They had already been playing for a little while, but they took 2 set break while I was there, playing at least 3 sets. Great stuff. We left at about 4 cause my girl had on some heels that was kicking her ass at this point, but the party was still going strong. We had a ball. Took some good pictures that I'll have for you guys next week. About to head uptown for a total of 5 parades today. Bacchus is the big one tonight, with Hulk Hogan reigning as King Bacchus. I think I may have already missed the 1st parade though, we shall see. I'll check in with you guys tomorrow.
Ha... I saw that the Hulkster is King Bacchus. That's great. Also, their parade starts the same time as the Super Bowl. People have been requesting that they put TVs on their floats.
Blah... It's Mardi Gras! I'd rather be out doing that than worrying about the Super Bowl.
Bacchus last night was a good time. Got a nice picture of the Hulkster. Les Miles also had his own float, and then the next float was all of the seniors on the LSU football team with a big LSU National Champs sign on the side, it was great. I watched the parade on St. Charles, then my friend called me and told me to come to this private party at Lucy's in the CBD. Went there, and the parade was rolling by again. It was only on like float 5 when I got there. So we stayed up in the upstairs room, which overlooked the parade route and watched most of it again. Only good thing about being up there was they had a band playing there as well. The Benjy Davis Project was upstairs playing for this private party, actually Benjy was the guy who let me upstairs. They literally just jammed with no spoken words for about 30 minutes while I was there. It was quite enjoyable. Left that and went to a bar til about 1 then went home. I was exhausted. Taking it easy today during the day as there are no parade til tonight. Proteus and Orpheus roll this evening. Should be some more fun. Only two more days left of Mardi Gras, got to get everything I can out of it. It's wonderful that LSU cancels classes Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
They are alright. I've seen them like 3 times before last night and they never really impressed me. They always seemed very generic (for lack of a better word). I thought they were great last night though. That might have been because they set up was on the same floor we were on. It was real "intimate" if you will. II also liked the fact that they straight jammed for a good 30 minute chunk. The bassist just kept a nice line going the whole time and they switched off solos between the guitarist, the drummer, and then the bassist got a solo in as well. I think that's why I enjoyed them so much last night. The whole setting was really cool.
Boooooooooooo, Mardi Gras is over, I'm exhausted, gonna bum around the rest of the evening and wait for the lineup, I'll have pictures later on in the week
