My friend was just telling me about this, it seems pretty cool... Just wondering if anyone else has heard about it?
Apparently, one hour out of a certain day everyone is encouraged to turn off all electronic devices in the house and not run an automobile. It was tested in Sydney last year and in just Sydney alone apparently it had the same effect as just removing 48,000 cars off the road for that hour!
It looks like it's supposed to be at 8 pm on March 29... I'm definitely gonna try and participate in this!

I'm in. My wife and I used to have a weekly ritual that we called "Turn-Off Tuesdays", in which by 5pm we'd turn off all electrical devices, and have an unplugged evening. We'd eat dinner by candlelight, maybe play a board game or play some live music, or just read. It was relaxing, romantic and definitely made a small dent in our bill. She and I should start that up again, and I'd recommend it to all of you as well!

I'm gonna have to try that out! I can't really see my current roommate being down, but maybe my roomies next year will be down!

Yeah, I can't speak for my roommates during this time... I can only encourage but I realize they might not be so keen to me telling them not to watch tv or use their computers for an hour... Even tho they preach about global warming half the time...
But me, I'll be either outside enjoying the fresh air if it's a nice evening or else I'll be chillin with a book or my guitar for a while. ;D
wait... does this mean I can't check Inforoo for that hour!
I signed the family up. Erica loves the going green stuff, the kids on the other hand, a bit harder to convert. Well, I am the king of my castle and the lights will be off March 29th for one hour.
