Finally, a Journalist Who Says Enough is Enough

Wow, just wow.

"This is crap, and you sling it with an audacity and speed unrivaled by even the greatest political felons in our history."

But my favorite is this:
"If you believe in the seem less mutuality of government and big business, come out and say it. There is a dictionary definition. One word that describes that toxic blend. You're a fascist. Get them to print you a t-shirt with fascist on it. What else is this but fascism?"
That sent shivers down my spine when I heard it last night.

Oh, and Olbermann may want to watch what he is saying. The house passed a bill called the "Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Act" that essentially denies us our first amendment rights.
The bill states:
"‘...ideologically based violence’ means the use, planned use, or threatened use of force or violence by a group or individual to promote the group or individual’s political, religious, or social beliefs..."
Note that this means the "planned use of force to promote a political or social belief" would be considered an act of terrorism. This all hinges on the definition of "force," of course. Based on the loose use of logic in Washington these days, and the slippery interpretation of the meaning of words, "force" could mean anything from a grassroots campaign to barrage Congress with faxes to a non-violent street protest. Or even a peaceful sit in. Or maybe even our next festival.

These are scary times folks, and I don't think Hillary, Obama, or McCain are going to do anything about this. We need real change, but I don't think we're going to see it.

If it wasn't for Olberman, Stewart, and Colbert I'd never know what was going on.
