So...
Here's the deal.
I'm a broke college student. Broke broke broke as in I only have 3 dollars in my checking account. I am getting paid on Friday BUT I have to buy my ticket to Ultra...I don't have a choice because I have to buy it at the same time as my group (we're saving money that way). So I will still be broke and I need money to exist on!!! I can't ask my parents for money either...they found out I was going to Miami and got pissed and decided they weren't going to give me money anymore.
So I'm thinking of donating plasma. Has anybody ever done it? Any experiences/suggestions? Is it really as bad as it sounds? What can I expect?
Also, anybody have any other ways to earn money quickly and (fairly) easily? Preferably one that doesn't involve selling my body on the street?
a guy on a paintball team i used to play with did that as often as it was allowed so he could afford to play. he didn't have any problems, i never did it though because the place to get it done was in a really sketchy part of town.

My friend is actually doing this to pay for his 'roo ticket. He goes twice a week, the first time he gets $30 and then if he goes 2 days later they give him an additional $50 and $10 for every person that he refers. The first time takes long, like 3 hours, each time after that it takes about an hour. You need to make sure that you eat enough before you go and drink plenty of water because they test your urine to make sure that your protein levels aren't too high. Its also fairly safe, I think the risk of getting a disease is about the same as the risk while getting a tattoo.
edit: at this particular place you get paid cash, not sure if its true everywhere.

you can also make money by doing trials for medicine, shampoo and stuff. my friend was telling me something about testing acne medicine for 3 weeks and getting $500, i might look into that.
Check around your area (malls) for a local market research company. I used to do tons of these in ATL. You get paid for your opinion basically. Try out new products/food/movie trailers and tell them what you like and dislike. Just my experience.

Plasma can work, just be clean etc and your good. $50 a week isnt too shabby, I used to do it, just hope whoever puts the needle in you knows how to do it well. Every now and then you wil get the one that pokes you and its like holy mother of flaming lips!!!!
Nothing to worry about though, walk in the park with some cake thats yours and you are eating too!

I've heard a few horror stories about plasma, but nothing with long-term ailments. So, as long as you think the very small risk of having a crappy day is worth having some extra cash it's definitely well worth it.
I love NFL season personally because I can go up and sell beer at the Redskins game. Free football game, keep the tips. But holy crap is it a pain in the ass to walk from the bottom of FedEx Field to the top with a case of beer around your neck....
