Like Troo, I remember there were few guys in the typing class at school. I can get most of the fingers and an occasional thumb involved, now if I could only learn how to spell...
Four fingers and one thumb. Watch the keyboard all the the way and spell check later, but I rarely have to correct, even with formatting etc.
I worked through a flight from LA recently and when I got off the plane, the guy next to me said "I don't mean to be rude, but you must be the fastest bad typist I've ever seen".
I'm traditional QWERTY. In keyboarding class in HS, I learned how to hit the backspace with my pinky really quickly so while I constantly make mistakes, I still got an A and was one of the fasted in my class.
I'm also a really loud typer - and so if my officemate. When both of us are all agitated at emails (happens often) it gets insane in there.
I'm not very fast though. Not very fast at all. The little speed I have was built up during my formative teenage years on AIM. I make a lot of mistakes though.
i type the way we were taught in school, pointer fingers on F and J and whatnot. I'm fairly fast and decent at doing other things while i type... skills i think i developed when i played Dark Ages of Camelot during the years i was learning to type. Gotta be able to type quick when mobs are aggro'ing you and you don't have Vent.
