I mentioned something in another thread but if at all interested to see where I live, I recently just bought a home that is gonna be featured on 'flip that house' on TLC. It is a few blocks from were I grew up and also where I work. The company I work for supplied materials for the flip, so you will see HLC (hobart Lumber Co.) all over hopefully, and also see myself and a few friends delivering material. I fell in love with the house before it was done and bought it. So now the show airs...

^Hoodoo
I can't wait to see what it used to look like inside. I only saw it when in was almost done. Should be coo.
im excited to see it...hard tellin' how much of us that will actually be on the show, but if you see two guys carrying doors inside, i'm the one with the black hoodie! its gonna be weird watchin' it from inside the house!
it is indeed a big chimney and not easy to seal either...if you hear him say the house has no leaks at all, he's lieing big time...he kept preachin' to me that is was waterproof...the first day it rained i had water in my basement and on top my drywall by the fireplace!
ill be havin' a huge party for real...but ill stop on here and ramble to my infohomies.
is everyone aware that there is a "Flip That House" and a "Flip This House" on TV? Yes. whichever one is not on TLC is the one that is boring and sucks.
wow, i love that show! how exciting! I'll try to watch!
$75,000 originally?.... makes me want to move out of CT
they originally wanted like 110,000 for it at the beginning of last year, i looked into it briefly but thought it was too much $ w/ a lot of work. so this guy waited until it was bottom dollar. bought it for 75 and put roughly $50,000 worth of work and i bought it for $135.
I bought a building at bottom dollar. It's taking forever to get it fixed up though. I have a love/hate relationship with Flip That House. I love it, but it pisses me off that they get things done in 8 weeks we've been working on for 2 years.
^nice. my brother recently bought a condo at bottom dollar. $88,000 for an efficiency flat. all one room.. ick... and i dont even live in a city...
is it your first home?
yes it is, i wasn't even lookin' for a house, and it just fell in my lap. i couldn't pass it up.
thats awesome, congrats! I dream of owning my own home like everyday. Its really my number 1 goal. its all ive ever really wanted.
damnit though! i think im gonna miss the show cause im going out for a birthday dinner with my parents tonight. I'll try to hurry home... if not, ill hopefully catch a rerun
it will definetly be on reruns...they said it should air at least 70 to 80 times over the course of this year! plus if i can get a copy on dvd, ill try to upload it and send it!
