We have to buy a riding lawnmower in the next few days and thought someone here might have some advice.
We've never had one before. It will be used for a 2 acre yard. We've been told we need a zero turn radius mower with a large cutting width. We've found a Toro 50" 21 hp zero turn at Home Depot that we like, but really have no idea if this is good. We've had good luck with Toro in the past.
The John Deere's are too $$ and we've looked on craigslist, but can't seem to find anything we like there.
(It kind of kills me to be buying this machine since I know it's not good for the environment, but I have no choice, really. We'll have to offset it somewhere else.)
What should we be looking for and what should we avoid?
First off make sure there is a cup holder. The worst thing is spilling your beer on those tight turns.
You said the John Deere's were too expensive but they are the best out there. (in my opinion) I bought an older one a few years ago and it has provided great service ever since.
