Good morning everyone. How is everyone's day so far? I may have found a place to rent for when I move back to NY. It's hard finding a place when you live in a different state

i can imagine
my best friend lives in NYC, and is moving to queens in about a month. she lives in inwood right now, and its been a total hassle even for her to find a place with having to travel back and forth. its about an hour or more one way.
she did finally find a place, but she had a broker help her out. she said that with as busy as she is, it was the only way to go for her, so maybe you could look into that?
so as I was on my way back from a meeting this morning, I was in tears because my new shoes had mutilated my feet. I hobbled into a swanky shoe store in the middle of town and begged them to find me a pair of shoes I could buy that would let me get back to the office. After several attempts at pricey ($100 and up) shoes, a fellow Bonnaroo goer suggested the shoes I ended up getting... for only $40 bucks!
phew, at least maury can deliver the "youre not the father" story of the day.
i have a hard time empathizing with people who dont know who fathered thier children. it's not the sleeping around, but man, it's just not that hard to stay un-pregnant.

Mother effer my ride to Bassnectar tonight just bailed. I think i'm gonna strangle something...
You don't seem to have good luck with rides, do you?
No, not so much. Apparently my friend would rather spend $40 (as opposed to 10...) and drive all the way to Maryland (as opposed to an hour and a half down the interstate) to see Ratdog. I even told him i'd buy his ticket to bassnectar if he went. Who the fuck turns down a free bassnectar show!?

In your friends defense.... its RatDog.
I'm trying to go to that show myself... we'll see what happens!

I will respectfully disagree. Its Ratdog... c'mon Those who know... know.
Although, were I faced with such a decision and a friend's 21st birthday on one hand, I would be seeing Bassnectar.
All I'm saying is, show for show, RatDog > Bassnectar
I've seen Bassnectar several times in the past year, all of which were pretty damn good.
BUT.
I saw Bobby @ Allgood in 07 and that was BY FAR AND WIDE the best single show of 2007 for me. I was right where I needed to be, and Bobby fekkin brought it.
I don't remember a whole lot about it but it was awesome as hell.
So far, of 2008, Government Mule into Phil Lesh & Friends(with hearing Blind Melon in the distance between) has been the best.

I've been looking on Craigslist.. a lot of the places on there are being advertised by brokers. A couple of the places i've called were rented, but the brokers told me they'd call me if something i'd be interested in comes up.
It's hard cause i'm looking for a 3 bedroom house for me and two guy friends.. seems like there are only split level houses that constitute as apartments. If only the guys were more helpful in this endeavor. they are, after all, already in Ny

I think it really honestly just goes back to what your preference is in music - I really really like dance/rave/electronica type of stuff over Dead/jam/rock type of stuff
I mean - I will and do listen to some head banging metal - but I have come to realize over the last few months - The Chemical Brothers, Lords of Acid, STS9, Sasha, Tiesto, Bassnectar type of stuff is what I dearly love because it gets into me and makes me want to get up and just dance until i drop

i always wanted to see LoA.
best show ive seen in 2008 so far was probably marilyn manson.
it was a combination of the right mood, people, situation, and excessive alcohol consumption.
i would assume that by the end of the year, it will be radiohead, radiohead, radiohead. or pearl jam. but probably radiohead.
