Gas prices suck. BP is my favorite gas station (I know, my friends make fun of me because I have a "favorite gas station" ). But they always have everything. What I drink, what I snack, papers, good cigarette prices, and non saudi oil (hence the name British Petroleum)...
Also....a good idea is to go to wal-mart once a week and buy a gift card. Use that giftcard as a "gascard" at the wal-mart gas station. It's like have a designated weekly amount for you gas, plus you save three cents a gallon. ;D
and it would seem to me that the wal-mart gas station (Murphy Oil) would most likely import their oil from somewhere other than Saudi Arabia...but I don't know, further research is required.

Even worse, they probably get it from China, like everything else they sell.

Good to know. I think Hess gets their gas from the same people as the Wawas, Sheetz, and Turkey Hills around here. I always see the same trucks at all those places.

'Well the point is all of them send money to the middle east. Also if you do not buy the "Persian Gulf Oil" From company A then they will sell it to company b that you are buying oil from. It is not like you can change how we get 17-25% of our Oil by consumer action.
^^^That. Plus the tips on saving gas don't really work, and anything that's written up on snopes probably shouln't be spread.

i had to snopes my mom a few months ago. she was forwarding that "obama is a and extremist muslim terrorist supporter who hates america" email. so i had to reply to all. i felt kind of bad, but thought it was worth correcting.
I buy Citgo gas. It comes from Venezuela and most of the profits go to building schools and hospitals. Sure, Chavez is the elected "dictator" and he hates us but we did try to assasinate him twice. I'd probably hate the US too if the CIA tried repeatedly to kill me. All in all I'll let my dollars help build hospitals even if some it goes to a authoritarian leader. Better than Big Oil companies getting it all.
The real reason he's our enemy is because he nationalized the oil companies because the oil companies were stealing all the oil profits and his people were starving. He kicked Exxon and Co. out and used the profits to better the living conditions (and admittedly to consolidate his own power.) The Oil companies ran to Bush and asked that he be assasinated. We tried and failed twice and since then we've been way too busy in Iraq to try again.
Citgo may have it's downside but IMHO it's much better than the others.

Regardless of where they get it from I usually go wherever is cheapest. I'm a poor college student and to me filling up at the raceway for like 3.00/g or less usually is better then going to BP for like 3.05 or more. Props on the snopes too southgadj.
I may have found this website on inforoo (i'm not sure) but it's really interesting to see where Big Oil gives there money. The 08 race is interesting, but check out 04 and 00.

Chavez may be a dictator, but he does deserve some respect for having the guts to point out that gwb is the devil. Also, I buy my gas at Mal-Wart, like superbek, cause it's the cheapest, although last time I filled up, I noticed a sticker on the tank that said their gas has 10% ethanol, which would lower the mileage. I think this is new, as I'd never noticed it before.
