Say I bought a ticket for a certain date and time traveling from Washington to New York... say I show up early and there is an earlier bus. Can I use my ticket?

i take the nyc-boston bus all the time and i've used my ticket for earlier buses the same day.
you don't need to go to the ticket counter or anything. the ticket you print out works for any bus the day of and i think a year or six months after the day.

That's weird because what if you bought a ticket for a certain time and got there and the bus was full because someone with a later time got on the earlier bus. Hm....?

yeah they don't sell the tickets by seats, they sell as many as ppl will buy
