www.kxci.com/ While driving to work this morning and enjoying what may be the last community radio station in the country, I figured I'd post a link for all the music lovers here. KXCI is a community owned, commercial free radio station out of Tucson, Arizona. Their programing is truely exceptional, and every year they never fail in playing a ton of great music, including a healthy dose of Bonnaroo artists. This morning alone I was pleased to hear The Bird & the Bee, Daniel Johnston, Elvis and Robert Plant and Allison Krauss in the span of 15 mins.
Some choice shows include Dead Air, an all-Grateful Dead show for 2.5 hours on Friday at midnight, a great bluegrass show on Sat. mornings, followed by Ruby's Roadhouse, a show of roots, blues and americana music, and Kidd Squidd's mystery jukebox, probably the finest radio show going, featuring esoteric rock, rnb and more. All this plus a great music mix and Democracy Now mon-Fri. need some tunes at work? give em a listen.
