I had pizza, a burger, and a chicken fajita pita. Along with a fried snickers (which a good helping of corn got me ready for lolol). Every but of food I had was absolutely delicious.
In '07 we bought most of our food and while we enjoyed some of it, I was very grumpy with how little money I came home with. This year we spent a ridiculous amount of money at the grocery store and I only bought food there twice- $4 pizza (amazing and worth it) and one of those $3 samoas with $5 sweet potato fries (not so worth it). The rest of the time we cooked out on our little grill- grilled cheese, quesadillas, hamburgers, hot dogs, cheesy eggs, pancakes... you name it. Mmm. We still brought too much food so I think 08 will be the charm!

the food selections is incredible, the quality and taste of the food is to die for, the prices are to kill someone over. but thats kind of expected. the food could be much worse and they still charge the same amount, and there could be much smaller selection. i was blown away by how much food their was to choose from and how good anything i got was.
I completely agree with you. those were one of the 3 foods i bought all weekend (along with the frozen lemonade- so worth it, and a funnel cake-also so worth it) the sweet potato fries were by far one of the worst decisions i made all weekend. they gave you a huge plate of them but they were far from tasty. maybe the first 5 or so you eat you think they arent bad. but after that their taste value sharply decreases. Please stay away from them at next years 'Roo and save yourself the bad experience. Even if you are a sweet potato lover (which i am) you will not find the joy in these fries. simply a bad decision. trust me. if anyone has a positive experience with this food i would highly like to hear your tale because they were simply awful.
Oh yes, I just remembered, the perfect subsitute for these would be the garlic grilled cheeses which i did also buy. they were 1 for $1 and 2 for $3 and 3 for either $4 or $5 i don't remember. but they were so tasty and satisfying definitely a best bonnadeal around. who doesnt love grilled cheeses yummmm
The Cajan food over by the Something Else Tent was incredible....everything else was just ok. But heh, it's a festival so I wasn't really expecting a whole lot

So, you had to pay more than $1 for them if you bought more than one??? That is quacking hilarious!!!
I had a near-death experience brought on by the garlic grilled cheese. I was only about two weeks past my tonsillectomy and was just starting solid, scratchy foods. Took one bite too big and thought I was going to suffocate. Bread and cheese = one sticky situation.
But I survived... and then went back for more.
I think I spent all my money on those frozen lemonades. And I love the sno-cones... I'm a sucker for anything sugary and bright blue. The cold factor doesn't hurt either. Oh, and the pretty colored bowls and straws and their little windy-inflated-thing. I get excited just thinking about it.
I didn't eat any of the food from Centeroo this year. Cooked everything in camp and saved a ton of cash. The vendor food is just hella expensive...for my taste at least, individual mileage may vary

I enjoyed the sweet potato fries, but probably because I got a small plate with my samosa, so I didn't have as many. I thought about getting more but I got distracted, you know, it being Roo and all.
Best thing I ate all weekend on The Farm as far as vendor food goes was an $8 BLT & Avacado wrap from a booth about half way back on the right side of the What stage lawn, looking at the stage. I had one twice and they were amazing both times.
Oh, that and the aripas aka the cornbread coated fried cheese thingies. Those are money EVERy year. I also had some pizza from the tent further up the field, right where the entrance from the rest of Centeroo is, but I was so 'altered' I have no idea if it was any good or not. Mostly though, my camp did the "bring and cook your own food" thing. Yum!
