i appreciate your sentiments, roo, and i understand. but i was kinda hoping to leave this issue with that post. if you have issues with certain poster's attitudes, maybe you could pm them privately? i just feel like you're continuing this. not necessarily intentionally, but can we just drop it? really? i think we all realize we were stupid about things. let's get back to positivity

Then stop posting, and it will end.
I just hopped on to say great job inforoo mods! You made a lot of great points, handled this situation really well, and I may steal your ideas to post on infobury when these same issues come up, as they surely will. Thanks.
this couldn't be directed to the multiple paragraph post above me? just wondering

There are three hyperlinks in this post but none of them are easily identifiable unless you hover over them. Can someone please change the stylesheet or whatever customized style controls proboards has to make inline hyperlinks underlined or at least a color that is more contrasting to the default? As it stands now they are not easily detected.

when I looked at your thread - it shows the hyperlinks in a different color. Did you change the color?
I think ticket sales should be allowed on the site. Tickets being sold for face value or below that is. Its not illegal in any way and it would greatly add to the helpful side of this site.
It would help members that encounter an emergency and need to get rid of their tickets and it would help members that cant afford tickets but get hooked up with cheap ones from someone else.
I agree about the ticket sales. Establish clear guidelines about scalping and have a separate section/thread for it. Most other forums allow it so long as there's no scalping.
We've said that you can post it in your profile if you have tix you need to get rid of. Alot of folks have Phish tix for trade or sale and you'll notice them at the bottom of their posts. We just don't really wanna make a separate area for ticket sales at this point, and don't really feel it's necessary.
But in order for the current way to work you would have to look at everypersons profile. That is the opposite of user friendly.
You don't actually have to view a person's profile to see it. You can put them in your sig line so that every time you post something, it comes up at the bottom of each post. Of course, if you don't post a whole lot, then not that many people are going to see it.

Is there an estimated length of time before you guys change the background image? Not complaining, just curious. I just always get so excited whenever there's a new background up when I log in
The background gets changed at random when one of us see a cool picture to put up. If you have one you would like to see used, PM it to one of us and we will put it up (as long as it is appropriate of course).
If I am not mistaken, we talked to AC/Superfly a couple of years ago and they frowned upon the idea of allowing ticket sales openly on the board. I seem to remember that being brought up a while back and that is why we dont allow the open discussion of ticket sales. We do allow people to post about hooking up to share the VIP passes though.
This may not be the proper forum, but I'm wondering why even though I set my time to be Eastern Time, it always switches to Central when I log in...do yall always keep it on Roo time zone?? Thanks for any help (it's really not a big deal at all, I'm just being nit-picky )
