Is there a way that we could know or be notified for which post we received karma? - not necessarily who gave us karma b/c the anonymity is good - but just which post someone liked or disliked.
I've given out karma before just for people who consistently add useful content to a conversation or seem like all-around decent people - so it may not be one specific post that does it. Just take it all in stride - I wouldn't stress about what caused what.

I had just noticed that I received 2 positive karma points - yesterday I was still at zero - and I thought it would be cool to know which of my posts people liked, but if it's not possible then it is a non-issue. no worries on my end. thanks for the info.

I was just gonna post a topic about this, that i think you should be able to leave a comment when you exalt or smite someone, but if the options not available then its a moot point. Without this the whole karma thing does seem kinda pointless, but it doesnt hurt at all, so we might as well have it.
personally i think karma is a flawed and unnecessary feature. but it is kinda fun to watch it. mines like a yo-yo. im gonna strap some glow sticks to it and eat some party favors.

I think the karma is like comic relief....not concerned with it, but it's still cool. Doesn't take away from the board. Also want to say thanks for upkeep on the site. You guys do a great job and it allows us to have a blast. Thank you.

After getting my karma dropped over like an hour for a reason unknown to me i think i changed my opinion on it. I rather we not have karma, because instead of people just anonymously smiting you for something they disagree with they'd actually have to comment on it, so without karma you know what you said that offended people. Just my take on it, but i think itd be better without karma. To me it just kinda seems like people talking behind your back, if someone has a problem with my post id like to know what it was.
id guess its from calling out mr johnnygunit/i'llbeleiveanything on his multiple accounts. he seems to like abusing the karma system also. im not sure why he didnt get the boot.

To be fair, baleedat (is it OK if I call you baleedat?) only has one account. you can go into your settings and change your displayname. He started with the jonnygunit name but changed it to illbelieveanything.
As a side note on the karma system. Anyone who wants a super huge negative karma score, its not real hard to accomplish.

Hmm... I thought bustedstuff got banned because it was found to be someone's duplicate (joke) account... I though that might be what this was referring to. If that's not the case, why did bustedstuff get banned? Or was that user even banned? I'm confused now...???
thats exactly what i was talking about. its overly obvious that busted stuff was johnnygunit/illbeleiveanything. but in the end it dosent matter. just another asshat.
I wasn't involved in the bustedstuff issue, I don't know what happened there or if illbelieveanything was involved or if he is the same person.
I can say this, "illbelieveanything" and "johnnygunit" are the same account. The user has chosen to go into his setting and change the display name, you can do it too.

Thanks, dmbfanintn. But, if it's cool with everyone else, let's just make amends and agree to talk about the music we love. That's what brings us to Bonnaroo. Shouldn't that be what Inforoo is about?
