I can't figure it out!

I host my pics in photobucket. Also, you might have to fuss with the size of your avatar, so it fits.

edit: mine is 65 x 100

You have to copy and paste the IMG code and be sure to remove the tags from either end of the code when you put it in the URL spot while modifying your profile. It can't be any larger than 100 x 100, so you may have to resize it before posting to Photobucket.
