Im really upset that i cant make it to all good this year because of a summer job. It seems to have alot more of the bands i like there.....i mean Roo has ALOT but i seem to like All Goods lineup better as a whole
I think it came out a couple of weeks after Bonnaroo last year, there are probably some bands and collaborations on the All Good lineup, that is secret info until Roo announces their lineup, kind of, but not exactly like last year when GRAB played both fests.
they have the main stage and a smaller stage that was right next to the big one last year. as soon as the mainstage stopped the little one would fire up. it only had 30 minute sets for the most part and was only there to fill the time for the next band to get ready on the mainstage.
i just went to the website and its updated. says the lineup will be out by march 10th. cant wait!!! im so frigging excited to see who they are gonna have this year!
The one stage set up is the advantage this fest has over others. NO CONFLICTS!!! Imagine that--just show up at the stage and you catch all artists.
The smaller acts on the little stage did get shafted, but, like Grace Potter put it,"rock n roll is like sex, sometimes 30 minutes is enough," or something close. Damn, she was hot!
i do like the no conflict thing. but i hated the 30 minute sets from great bands like grace potter. should have given them an hour just for showing up. also i find that i kind of enjoy the mass exodus of blown away people leaving the headliner and heading towards the excitement of the latenight. everybody yelling and getting all crazy. damn i love roo!!!
Well I found one confirmed artist for All Good so far. Jambase has Soulive playing All Good on Sunday the 15th. I really hope this is true. I've never seen them and have always wanted to. Krasno was ripping it up with Medeski last year, one of my favorite shows. I really can't wait for the rest of the line up.
awesome!! good to get something going on. id prefer soulive at night but ill take it on sunday. cant wait to get the headliners and latenights. im so excited to see who its gonna be!
What would be super dope for All Good is firing up the main stage for Thursday night shows. Did anyone catch the Dub Side of the Moon and Radiodread last year? It was sick--alternating sets of Brothers Past and Easy Star All-Stars, playing all Radiohead and Pink Floyd.
After seeing the real Radiohead just a month earlier, I was really diggin the reggae interpretaion.
ya i caught east star and bros past. what a great evening. but like you said if it had been on the main stage with those lights when the fog rolled in it would have been the greatest thing ever to happen. i was really hoping that fog would come back for a latenighter. no such luck though. maybe this year!!! ;D
that fog was sick, the way it slowly rolled in. we marveled at it the whole time. I got way more sleep at All Good than I ever have at bonnaroo thanks to the weather.
I can't wait to find out who's gonna be there. The four artists I was able to find already are pretty small names, except for Soulive. Lee Boys, Sam Bush, and I can't even remember the other name, I posted it in the other All Good thread.
