Thinkin about getting a day pass for whatever day Umphrey's plays. The lineup is pretty good but the additions they just made looked pretty weak to me.
i live in ny and im thinking of hitting mountain jam up. the only problem is that i dont want to spend all my money 2 weeks before the roo...any idea of the costs?

Just bought my ticket w/camping for $130. Steeper than I would have thought for a festival that size... but with those acts in a much smaller crowd I definitely think it's worth it. I love the lineup - I can't wait!
I am tight with cash pre-roo, but I'm always so overwhelemed when I first arrive, that it will be nice to have gotten some of the "woooo-festival-it'ssummer-mindaltered" energy out of my system beforehand this year! I'll be very prepared for the roo state of mind
hunter is about an hour from me. drove past it all the time when driving back to school from breaks. i went last year on sunday. definately a cool little festival. last year i couldnt go on saturday but made to go for the duo, gordo and ramble dove, mmw AND My Morning Jacket! i have to see about this year but may make it up again. if not for whole weekend, due to schedule grandmas birthday is june 3rd hence not going on sat last year.
Oh man, I was really only planning on going to this on Saturday to catch Umphrey's and whoever else is playing that day but I'd really like to see Phil. Now I gotta decided if I want to do the whole festival or go to Philly Friday for Umphrey's and then up to Hunter Mt. on Saturday for more Umphreys and whoever else is that day. Not much of the lineup besides U-Melt and TLG appeals to me though so I'll still most likely do the one day thing, I really want to see Phil and Sco though. Damn these hard decisions.
last year's MJ was pretty damn awesome, i must say. not too many people... although it was rainy/cold, so that may have affected the crowd. i liked last year's lineup better, but its a really pretty area and a great crowd, so i'd definitely go this year if i was in the area.
this is ridiculously awesome! im down in jersey for the week helping out my grandma who had a stroke about 3 weeks ago. tonight im over at my sisters for a while and using a computer for the first time since sunday night and i check jambase and see phil lesh is playing! how awesome. i cant wait. especially since its only an hour from my house. cant go the whole weekend again this year, as it's my grandma's birthday the 3rd of june so im goin to jersey on sat for grandma so i can see phil tear up the mountain. what great news it was! especially since i havent been on a comp for a while.
