moe. down 8 The Eighth Annual moe.down will be held August 31, September 1 and 2 at the Snow Ridge Ski area in Turin, NY. moe.down is an annual party for moe. and its fans. In addition to moe., this year's performers include Ryan Adams, Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood, Amos Lee, Meat Puppets, Ryan Montbleau and The Brakes. More bands will be announced in the coming weeks.
The moe.down promises three days of music, camping and fun at the Snow Ridge Ski Area in Turin, NY. The site is about an hour northeast of Syracuse, at the edge of the beautiful Adirondack Mountains. Ski lifts will be open, so bring your mountain bike!
The lineup looks a little weak to me but six sets of moe. and MSM&W is enough for me to make the short trek. I'm sure they will make some other quality additions too. I had a great time last year.

that pretty much sums it up for me too. i'm 90% likely going again this year.
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

moe. down is a great time every year. this will be my 6th year attending. this is my "take it easy" festival.... i usually only see moe. and maybe 3-5 other acts throughout the weekend. a wonderful end to the summer as long as the remnants of a hurricane arent roling through like last year.

Man Tara, how many festivals are you going to this year? I wish I can take the time off to do this one, but this is labor day weekend and that is a no no with my job. I seriously need to get a real mon-fri job!

So far I have tickets to 4 (!) and I'm thinking about one more, but I might just buy a one day pass to that one since there is no on-site camping (Newport Folk Fest - have to wait for the line-up to come out).
...I know it's kind of crazy to me myself! This is my first job with good vacation days, and I chose festivals close by so other than roo, I'm only taking off a friday here and there. Hopefully I'll survive the summer
"moe. has confirmed a handful of additional acts for its annual moe.down festival. The latest round of artist additions includes State Radio, Strangefolk and Acoustic Forum, which features moe. drummer Vinnie Amico and the Merry Dankster duo of Dave Ruch and Rolf Witt"
I'll still probably go but this lineup just does nothing for me. I really thought there would be some better additions. Aside from moe. and MSM&W nothing really gets me excited. Oh well, it's still a great a weekend. moe.down is all about moe. anyway.

i didnt decide to even go till friday at 5:00pm. i left new jersey by 9pm and go to moe.down 4am on sat. missed the first night. but the real reason i went was for lotus anyway, they played 3 sets and totally blew moe outa the water that night imo. the tent stage was small too, with no guard rails or security, i was practicly on the stage while they played. MMSW was also sick as hell!!
