everyone here is probably biased. but vote here on the best american festival. take into account the lineup, the place, the crowd, the amount of stages and stage times. for example bonnaroo is definitely better than all the others in one regard, all the bands get to play longer sets. if there are more festivals that i should add to vote, link it here. i know there are lots of jam band fests that i left off. personally, i haven't been to any of the others festivals. but i assume that bonnaroo is definitely the best atmosphere. but some of these other fests have "deeper" lineups, which means they are heavier on headliners. as for myself, i think i am voting for bonnaroo anyway. if it looks like everyone else is doing the same, i guess i will just delete this.
virgin does look good. like they said, they just went out and got headliners. but i wonder how long the set times will be there. i'm more surprised that someone voted for sasquatch.
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!
damn not a single one in my top 5. so ill go with roo. but my actual order of best lineups would be 1. wakarusa (too bad its been ruined by cops, so it dosent really count) 2. gratefulfest (everything) 3.gathering of the vibes(dso jerry tribute, and p-funk/DBB james brown tribute and claypool>ratdog passed roo) 4.1oklf (umphreys headliner moved it up ahead of roo.) 5. all good (leftover slamon, ozrictentacles, and the moe jam passed roo) 6. roo
thats based on music lineup alone. if i go by how excited i am to go and see friends i havent seen in way too long and meet cool people then roo takes the cake.

i will do one with bonnaroo up against the other jam band fests. but that right there proves they are the best. they are now more than a jam band fest and can compete with all the other big fests and they can still hold their own in the jam band scene.
is it really a festival if it does not have onsite camping? for me i say no its not. camping is a must. without camping its more like a long show then a fest.

Yeah, I'd vote for Bonnaroo in a heartbeat because I firmly believe in what it tries to do and be, but it's not really fair for me to vote if I've only personally experienced one of the choices.

best festival is jam cruise hands down, no debate, signed and sealed. nothing can touch the enormity that is jam cruise. best thing since oxygen, for word.
edit to add: but bonnaroo is a close second as it will always hold a special place in my heart.

i agree 100%. theres nothing wrong with long concerts at all, in fact i'm goin to the pitchfork music fest in chicago this summer, but its not a true festival in my mind. its all about the camping

If your counting the semi fests, i think summerfest has the best line up, and its in the same vain as sxsw. I voted bonnaroo, my 2nd favorite lineup behind summerfest, which i wouldnt even bother trying to attend.
