The Sixth Annual 10,000 Lakes Festival (10KLF) is tickled to announce the initial lineup for this year’s celebration of music, nature and community. 10KLF '08 will feature performances by:

Well it's a fest in our home state and we've never gone. The Lips are reason enough for us to give it a try this year. Who among our Bonnaroo friends will join us in the land of 10,000 lakes. It's in July, the only really hot month in MN. We get high 90's with a ton of humidity, should be a blast! ;D We also should be totally recovered from Roo by then too.

damn im jealous! when i lived in fargo all they had at the time was WEfest. i'm gonna have to plan a trip back home around this some year. does the big wu still play out?
I'll be there, but I'm already in mn so i guess it doesn't count. It will be my first time there though, I don't know what I've been waiting for! anyway I am very very excited for it, this will be my way of getting over the fact that I didn't go to rothbury (the forest looks like it was amazing!).
I'm so there!! Coming up from Omaha. I got my VIP tickets in the mail last week and I'm pumped. This will be my first time up there and I've heard nothing but good things. It looks like such a beautiful area for a festival and that's a big part of a festival experience for me. Hope to see you all up there. Let me know if anyone wants to get together for some shows or have a jam session at a campsite! I'll bring the booze! (and the guitar)

I'll be bringing my propane tank "hank drum," hopefully we can get a little session going sometime! I'll be in the northwoods campground, I"m really looking forward to being in a forest instead of the shadeless farm in tennessee (not that there's anything wrong with that!)
I hope the music made up for the arrests/deaths/bad publicity.
i haven't heard anything bad, other than the death (singular). arrests? all i heard was about a guy selling rolls and a break-in to one of the employee buildings. i imagine there will be a lot more arrests during wefest in two weeks. whiskeyed up cowboys.

Bonnaroo averages 70 arrests a year and has a total of 6 dead so far. The crowd at 10KLF was the best I've seen, laid back and having fun. More dreads than I ever what to see again in my life. I'm not big on Jam bands, but I gave it a chance and we had a great time. VIP was not up to Bonnaroo standards, but the food was better and we got free concert chairs. Better than a plain t shirt. The best was the smaller crowd. You could get up front at any show you wanted. We will be going back!
