Anyone know of any good festivals coming up within the next few months? I know I'm going to be hitting up Langerado next year....but I need a festival fix!!! ;D
I know what you mean. Langerado is a long way away. I don't know much about Paradise Jam, it's a new one. But, Magnolia Fest is supposed to be a really good one, especially if you like bluegrass. If you're in south Florida, there's been a few small festivals in Big Cypress. I don't have any info on when the next one is, my guess would be maybe the same weekend as Magnolia Fest. I'll post the details when I get them.

Thanks chefchic for all the info! Paradise jam seems like it would be a lot of fun, but the heat in the middle of august and camping would kill me! I did check out the magnolia fest and that looks really cool. I'm not hugely into bluegrass, but I'm always up for trying new things! Thanks again

Wanee is great! You can reserve golf carts there and drive them from your camp site to the entrance of the venue. I didnt do it, but was very jealous of the people who did. Good way to beat that long camp to centeroo like walk you would face. But you better do it fast cause they sell out fast. It is a beautiful place with a Bonnaroo like vibe. Highly recommend this Festy! Plus there is this rope swing over the river that you can play on during the day to beat the heat. Plus you can have campfires. I love it only being an hour and a half away from me!

Hey my friends an I plan on going to Paradise Jam. We live in North West Florida an are real glad to see a Jam in our area. With alternating stages we will be able to see all the bands instead of seeing just a few. That will be great .Hope to see my fellow Bonnaroo friends there
I just found this. It's a one day thing, no camping, but looks like it could be cool. I've seen JJ Grey & Mofro a couple of times and really liked them. I might be able to work this one out, but unfortunately it's a six hour drive. Hmmm.....
JJ GREY & MOFRO TO HOST THE 1ST ANNUAL BLACKWATER SOL REVUE IN ST. AUGUSTINE, FLORIDA ALSO ON THE BILL ARE LOS LOBOS, TONY JOE WHITE, THE LEGENDARY JC’S THE LEE BOYS, AND OTHERS THE ONE DAY FESTIVAL MARKS THE GRAND OPENING OF THE NEWLY RENOVATED ST. AUGUSTINE AMPHITHEATRE
JJ Grey & MOFRO Down home roots, rock and soul artist JJ Grey & MOFRO will perform live and host the 1st Annual Blackwater Sol Revue at the newly renovated St. Augustine Amphitheater. This will be the first public show at the theatre since undergoing a $9 million upgrade. The other artists on the bill, hand selected by Grey, include three time Grammy Award winners Los Lobos, swamp funk legend Tony Joe White, Orlando-based soul-funk-blues sensations The Legendary JC's, sacred steel family ensemble The Lee Boys and acoustic tweeners by Willie Green and Will Conner. According to Grey, the festival will be "...one day and one night of great music by artists who possess a distinctly regional flavor, and who each sound like home in their own unique ways. This, in a place inhabited by a spoonful of old-school Spanish Menorcans, a dash of country fried Crackers, and a sprinkling of tourists from all over; all of that mixed in a low country boil of beach, sun and bikinis in the oldest town in America."
Sunday, September 2 The St. Augustine Amphitheatre 1340 A1A South / St. Augustine, FL Show starts at 2 p.m. (doors at 1 p.m.) Tickets are $35.00 (early bird), $40.00 (advance), $45.00 (at gate), $100 (VIP) Available at www.blackwatersolrevue.com or www.ticketmaster.com

Completer JJ Grey & MOFRO tour dates available HERE.
But seriously, Wanee, festival wise is the best bang for your buck other than Bonnaroo IMO. When I got there this year, knowing what the lineup was, I was surprised the crowds weren't bigger than they were.
Oh for sure, man that place is really speacial. That mushroom stage is oh so nice. Especially at night when they have the little xmas lights strung throughout the trees with nice little breeze. Man!! 9 more months!
