its august 24-25-26 at deerfields in north carolina.
deerfields is a 940 acre plot with streams, lakes, wildlife, woods...its untouched and supposed to be extremely beautiful.
anywayssss....the vibe sounds awesome. only 3500 tickets will be available, its the first year of the fest. lots of smaller bands but i like the sounds of everything i heard.
saturday(25) they are having a theme where all in attendance are supposed to dress up in a costume. the theme is to unleash the spirits of the mountains, channel your third eye, and create a positive transcendent vibe. sounds awesome!
im plannin on going solo. if anyone is interested in going i would be happy to meet up with folks. if not, ill just have all the fun myself! it really sounds like a blast, i cant wait!
BTW Particle is headlining on sat night, so the theme will be nuts!

I am going, and I am hoping that there is a mini shakedown somewhere at this festival. The surroundings are going to be beautiful and I would love to have some mellow party treats for this weekend.

You shouldn't have any problem finding them with the PArticle fans
i wish this wasnt so far away. great lineup. and the venue sounds like its awesome. particle always puts on a killer show. big leg emma is great stuff too. and if john welton is there dont miss him!! his website says he is there. and his band that just broke up is on the juke box thing on the website. but hes not on the schedule. or maybe since the recipe announced their impending break up and canceled most of their shows their spot was filled with something else and his website isnt updated. at any rate he is one of the coolest dudes on the planet. and he will be playing campfires at night if hes there. hes at nelson ledges all the time and his show is always my favorite of the weekend. so if hes there be sure ya dont miss him. especially if you find him playing in the campground late at night.

Just to tell anyone that may be interested in going to this festival, there are a few people trying to sell tickets on the Ashefest website for cheaper than the actual tickets are. I really think this is going to be a great little fest on 975 acres of land (hell they have there own frisbee golf course, river, etc) and a great way to get back to the real world of school. Just thought you guys may want a heads up on a good deal.
